We stayed here as a last minute change to our plans and only stayed 1 night. All we can say is if you can't relax here you can't relax at all. The front porch has a view to die for. Sitting on it and sipping a glass of wine was exactly what the doctor ordered. Will definately return.

The other reviews are right on. Dane and Rita are great hosts. The Inn is cozy, clean and perfectly situated to see the best of Sonoma. Breakfast was delicious and different each morning. In the evenings, complimentary happy hour helped us discover our favorite Russian River wines. We brought an infant with us (pretty unusual for wine country), but he...

My daughter and I stayed three evenings at this marvelous bed and breakfast. I booked the trip as her college graduation gift and we were not disappointed. Our room was lovely, the innkeepers very helpful in planning our days, and the atmosphere at breakfast and later before dinner was warm and very positive. We lucked out by staying on an...

My wife and I stayed two wonderful nights at The Raford Inn. We had arrived very late, thanks to San Francisco traffic control, but the hostess waited for us and made us feel very welcomed. The bed and breakfast sits onto a small hill which overlooks the vineyards (what a view). The room was immaculate and the breakfasts were excellent...

I hardly ever write reviews for places that I stay, but this place was so great that I felt impelled to add my review to the long list of favorable reviews that the Raford has received. My wife and I spent two very enjoyable nights at the Raford. The setting is great (very relaxing) and we thought the Sage Room...

If it were possible to rate this place higher than 5/5 I would do so. I know they hardly need yet another review on Trip Advisor judging by the ratings they have received already, but Dane & Rita were really so wonderful that we felt bad taking as long as we have to post this. Yes, the place is incredibly...

My wife and I spent New Year's at the Raford. It was absolutely fantastic -- a great combination of feeling at home with great hosts and also having independence. The most telling aspect was that most of the guests were repeat visitors, and were an interesting group of people. The room was very comfortable, very well maintained. Rita's breakfasts were...

Our stay here was exceptional. We felt welcomed from the minute we checked in to our last wave goodbye. Our room was wonderful and comfortable, we stayed in the Strawberry room which has a private entrance from the outside side garden. The entire staff was thoughtful, warm, friendly, genuine and very helpful. They will go above and beyond to make...

My wife and I stayed here two nights over the recent Thanksgiving weekend. We worried that we'd regret being away from family during the holiday, but visiting with Dane and Rita at their cozy property felt like being with your favorite family members. We also figured that - in our late 30s - we'd be the youngest folks who stay...

We just returned from a birthday weekend in Healdsburg. We had the pleasure of staying at The Raford Inn where everything is as described so aptly by others, so I'll resoundlingly scond all the positive opinions. As it was my 75th birthday, there was Champagne and two cupcakes awaiting us...just one more example of Rita and Dane's lovely hospitality. We...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This classic Victorian Plantation landmark manor house, built in 1880, once presided over a huge empire of hops. Converted to an intimate country bed and breakfast in 1980 it sits upon a knoll above an unspoiled Russian River vineyard valley ringed by redwood forested mountains. Lovingly preserved it is a place of quiet beauty in the hills of Healdsburg Wine Country. Return now to a time and place that has not quite yet gone by. ... more   less
