Evergreen Lodge is very convenient for visiting Yosemite. The area of location is beautiful and close to Hecht Hetchy Dam. Cabins are straight out of an LL Bean catalogue. No internet, no A/C, and no TV but we were ok with that set up. We did have Verizon cell service. The food was good but costly and limited menu. We...

This was our 2nd visit to Evergreen Lodge. Our first was right after the current owners purchased it in 2001. We were very impressed with the changes that we saw on this visit. Cozy new cabins, expanded outdoor dining area, playroom, bocce ball court. We stayed in Wapama 5, which was very roomy. Small outdoor deck that looked toward the...

Evergreen Lodge is nestled below the Redwoods and Pines just outside the gates of Yosemite. The property consists of individual cabins surrounding a country store, restaurant, tavern and lots of recreation. Great for the family or romantic getaway. The accommodations, food and staff were outstanding. I gave on 4 star because the individual cabins do not have air conditioning. I...

Hello, I’m Lee, one of the owners of the Evergreen Lodge. It’s wonderful to read that you enjoyed the property, the food and the service. Thank you for sharing your review and for giving us the opportunity to address the lack of air conditioning in the cabins. With our consistently cool, dry evenings in the Sierra, even on hot days...

Our family of 9 adults and one child stayed in the John Muir House for 3 nights following 2 nights in Yosemite at the Awahnee Hotel and one night in the Yosemite Housekeeping Cabins. Our stay could not have been better at the Evergreen. The house was private but a short walk from the rest of the complex. We ate...

We stayed as a couple for three nights in the camp site. Overall impression is good, great facilities for families, stunning quiet location and excellent service levels from the staff. We did feel the staff were a little stressed and seemed to work very long hours. Our breakfast waitress also served us dinner and looked shattered but she still had...

Hello, I’m Lee Zimmerman, one of the owners of the Evergreen Lodge. It’s great to hear that you enjoyed our location, facilities and service during your Yosemite visit. I apologize for your unreasonable experience with the tea request in our restaurant. It is not our policy to require any guest to purchase an entire pot of tea when all they...

Enjoy a wonderful, kid-friendly, serene environment. Even being approx 30 mins from the Yosemite Valley it is purely delightful. The area is super clean, rustic, but modern facilities, cabins w/o TV are super clean, the grounds don't allow cars so your children are safe by themselves. Lots of exciting places to explore, activities for all, s'mores each nite around a...

Our entire family attended my son's wedding. It appealed to my California family and friends and my New York family and friends. We could not have been happier. The Lodge is a beautiful place to bring the entire family. We would go back again and again.

Luxury camping at it's best. As other reviewers mentioned, the Evergreen Lodge is a bit rustic (no a/c) but the cabins are immaculately clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. Location is perfect for those that are interested in visiting the Yosemite Valley. They also have numerous activities on-site for those that wish to stay closer to home. A wonderful...

Outwardly rustic, but lacking for nothing if you can break away from TV & internet for the duration. Our cabin was comfy & impeccably clean; the staff truly makes you feel welcome; the restaurant a pleasant surprise. Don't let the Groveland address throw you as the lodge is just 6 mi from a park entrance and a Mike from Hetch...

Could have stayed here for a week. Perfect base for Yosemite break (although bear in mind it is a 30 min drive into the valley). Amazing facilities (pool, hot tub, recreation centre, table tennis, pub, restaurant). Nice atmosphere and mix of people. Food was good (huge portions). Staff v friendly/helpful. Arta white water rafting was great too. We did the...
