This was our first time at The Cub Inn. This was a fantastic place that we would love to return to at some point. Joe & Charlene were great hosts, and the setting was amazing. Great view, perfect location, including a great breakfast. This is a perfect place to stay if coming to Yosemite.

Our hosts, Joe and Charlene, built this home expressly as a B&B, with private suites. We had an upstairs "deluxe" room, private, roomy and very comfortable. Rustic yet up to date style. Our dog was welcome to play in the yard and deck, a bonus! Conversation with visitors from other countries and with Joe were terrific. Joe and Charlene are... More

If you're going to Yosemite and need a place to stay, you won't find a nicer place to stay than The Cub Inn. The inn is about an 1h 15min drive from the Visitors Centre, but you'll spend most of that time looking out your car window. The inn itself is simply perfect. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. We stayed in... More

We spent two nights at the Cub Inn B&B, as a base camp to visit Yosemite. We would have loved to stay longer! The room was very comfortable, and the location great. Above all, it was Joe's company, the great conversations we could have with him and the more than useful advice he gave us to make the best of... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Cub Inn. Comfortable bed, attractive room, good wi-fi, great breakfasts (plenty of food!), and great innkeepers. Joe gave us many good suggestions of things to do in Yosemite, and took real pleasure in making hearty breakfasts and stimulating conversation amongst the guests assembled around his large communal dining table. The inn is near the... More

Well located for Yosemite , the Inn is idyllic but the main attraction is the host, Jo who is an ex Vietnam war veteran. Breakfasts are informal and encourage guests to interact. Food is great and Jo cooks waffles, pancakes and eggs to order and will then join guests for a chat. He is also very knowledgeable about the area.... More

We enjoyed our four night stay at the Cub Inn. The location is great. Close enough to Yosemite for daily visits, yet far enough to be away from the traffic and crowds. The place is a wonderful log cabin, the breakfasts were great, and Joe Riley a superb innkeeper with great conversation and perfect recommendations. We enjoyed our international conversations... My husband and I stayed here 2 nights in June so we could visit Yosemite. We are normally so-so on bed and breakfasts simply because we like the anonymity of hotels, but we decided to try it out. We were both surprised at how much we enjoyed it. We stayed in Lauren's room upstairs and it was very quiet, bathroom... More

We could see that this was a nice place to stay when setting out for Yosemite. But it wasn't for us. Lovely house and setting. But .... Owners have a Staffordshire bull terrier we didn't know about and my wife doesn't like dogs. Not amused to find dog in our bedroom. The 4 cats were ok as we both like... More
