After having a great stay a year ago, I booked the Groveland Hotel again after visiting Yosemite NP. Each room is nicely decorated, with nice touches - toiletries, cozy bathrobes, bottled water, coffeemaker, etc. Friendly staff at check in and check out. A nice buffet breakfast is provided. WiFi connection was strong. The only downside was that the particular room...

Interesting experience in an old hotel, didn't know what to expect but it was enjoyable. Barbara and Lisa were both very helpful giving us directions on where to go and what to see. The room was small but clean, needs a small table on the wall side to set things on and maybe a comfortable chair, we had pizza in...

This beautiful gold-rush era hotel is like staying in a time machine. The hotel's massive restoration post-1990 is looking a little dated and starting to fade, but still a charming place to stay, and the staff are impeccable. We had booked a room for my husband and I, and our teenage son. When the room proved to be a little...

We had no plans for our extended stay in California, decided to head to Yosemite and this little town was on our way. Accommodations are similar to a bed n breakfast in many ways older rooms with a personal feeling. Rooms are small but price was right which included a buffet breakfast with limited hot items but a nice touch....

Along with its neighbor the Iron Door Saloon, this hotel epitomizes the historical aspects of the town of Groveland. Not exactly sure of the opening date but let's say in the 1850's. This state historic building has been repurposed many times since then. Each of its 20 or so rooms has a name associated with the history of the building,...

Do not be fooled by the photographs of this Hotel. We spent one night here and that was one night too long. This could be a lovely place to stay if only the people who own it would spend some money on it, we spent the same amount for this room as we did for a 4* beautiful room in...

I took my girlfriend and her dog for her visit to Yosemite national park. As I wasn't able to find a resort or hotel in the valley area that was pet friendly. I came across this hotel that was. They were quite accommodating even though they're in the process of selling this lovely Inn due to a death of the...

We had no reservation but were still greeted warmly. The woman at the front desk was so friendly, walked us to the room and gave us a brief but interesting explanation of this wonderful place. The room was fantastic and the bed very comfortable. If we return to Yosemite, we will definitely repeat in this hotel!!

This hotel has some excellent qualities but a few downsides too. The downsides wouldn't put be off staying, but good to be aware before you go. Downsides were - whilst the rooms were historic and quaint, they were also cluttered and bit dusty and our room was quite small. The breakfast is fairly limited in choice and there is no...

This is a lovely old hotel with charming hosts. The rooms we stayed in were in the old adobe part of the hotel and opened directly onto the balcony. The rooms were well furnished but were decked out with classic old furniture that was very appropriate for this old gem. An excellent place to stay prior to entering Yosemite National...
