We rented all 4 units for a week, so each of my adult children could be by themselves with their families and we could share games and meals in the biggest unit as well as activities in the area. The clean, spacious and nicely furnished/ decorated units are close together (within baby monitors' reach), located in a quiet and peaceful area, on a gorgeous wooded hill, above a little bay with a jetty for fishing, beach and BBQ area, offering lovely views, beautiful birdlife (feeders!), several kayaks & life vests, wonderful comfort without being overly fancy, so one could relax with children around. Kim was a very charming, helpful and readily available host who assisted in organising and setting up a celebratory dinner catered for onsite by an exquisite local chef, Michelle Boyle. We stayed for two nights in October. We’d been touring Australia for the past couple of weeks and were quite exhausted! Jetty Road Retreat offered us exactly the peace and quiet we needed! Although the weather wasn’t great - stormy with some rain - it didn’t spoil our enjoyment. The cabins are sweetly retro with somelovely personal touches such as the bird book. The local visiting birds were a huge part of our enjoyment. They are very tame and it was great to see their pecking order! Some nice local walks and also in nearby Metung and Lakes entrance. We ate at the Metung hotel (great steak) and lunched at the fabulous fish and chips at the Sea Shanty in lakes Entrance. We also enjoyed a stroll along the boardwalk for breakfast at Aroma in Metung and another day at Bloody Good Coffee (the cafe name!) in Lakes entrance. The resort has free kayaks which sadly we didn’t get to use due to the weather but we’d love to return in warmer weather!…

Great spot, amazing personalised service provided by host. The optional hampers on arrival were fantastic and we were very grateful for the heating! Only room for improvement was the comfort of the bed, it was a bit like trying to sleep on a jumping castle. After a rough first night, I relocated to the couch.

Thank you for your review! The new spring hamper options from Farmer & The Cook have proved very popular with guests, and we're glad you took advantage of them for a cosy stay beside the lake. I'm sorry the bed was not compatible to your comfort requirements. During the pandemic we upgraded our queen mattresses to the King Koil Executive Penthouse range, which many of the 5 star hotel brands use. Most guests tell us how comfortable they are (some have even purchased themselves following their stay!). We do understand when it comes to bedding, it's not a one size fits all, hence the mattress in the second bedroom provides a firmer option, as does the couch! Kim

On our arrival we were greeted by Kim who guided us through how to use all the facilities. Thanks Kim & Steve for Sharing your well appointed Clean & Comfy cabin with our family.. Grand Daughter Nurse Cassie, Pa , Nanny & Roxie, celibrating Pa's 76 Birthday. Enjoyed the walks to both piers (jetties) , though the second one was approx 4 Kms away. Nanny & Cassie enjoyed feeding the Parrots, Cockies & Corellas. Then photographing them from the comfort of the picture window louge room. Specially enjoyed your suggestions for eating out at nearby towns of Metung, LakesEntrance & Lake Tyers over the period of our stay

This was our second extended stay at Jetty Road Retreat, and it was excellent. With so many choices nowadays you only return to the good ones! An extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean cabin with everything we needed - and in a beautiful, peaceful spot. We saw the dolphins, fed the birds, watched the occasional boat come and go on the lake, wandered down the hill and out onto the jetty now and then - and just relaxed. And 15 to 20 minutes up the road, in either direction, are Metung and Lakes Entrance with lots to do, including some great walks suitable for all abilities. Well done and thank you Kim and Steve

The best location, we were lucky enough to see dolphins & seals from our balcony! Loved that you have kayaks available for guests. We enjoyed the DVDs for a movie night. Cabin was extremely clean & has everything you need. Would highly recommend.

Jetty Road Retreat was one of the first places where we stayed on our tour of the Australia Vic & NSW and NZ. We stayed in 17 accommodations in total and although all were very different this one came out tops for us. As we are from the UK and this was our first trip to Australia we weren't sure what to expect, we went very much on the information supplied. We weren't disappointed, we had a fab time. But if you meet Kim you'll know why, as she considers all the smallest details for her clients.

A perfect place for a retreat, (as the name does suggest). Every time we have been to Jetty Road Retreat we relax as soon as we get there, by the amazing water views, the home comforts within the cabins, special local birds including bird feeders also at each cabins. This year was our 5th time to beautiful Jetty Road retreat, every time has been refreshing and peaceful! Kim, Steve and the team at Jetty Road are as amazing as the place it's self is. We went with my family of 5, for Australia Day long weekend and it was a very pleasant experience. The cabin is uniquely located by the water, with kayaks available to use for free. It is also conveniently located near lake Entrance and Metung. There are lots of things to do, from enjoying good food, going to the beach, fishing, cruising, etc. They even provided us with bird's seed to feed the birds so every afternoon we would have a variety of different birds come to the deck. It was really nice. The host was always available and ready to provide help whenever we needed it.

The perfect location to get away from everything for some downtime. The views were stunning from my cabin and with the big windows, I felt like I was out in nature even inside the cabin. I loved the small touches like birdseed to welcome the beautiful birdlife to the garden and the information about the walking tracks close by. The cabin was clean, tidy and very comfortable. Highly recommend!
