Cookie's Club House or a business? Liked everything but the bed bugs. Treated room 6 times or did they really. Blame the customer. Room 123 sleep in your clothes with lights on and don't take off shoes. Don't know why but manager gets personal.

While traveling alone, I needed to find a reasonable, clean place for the night. Using my I-Phone and Trip Advisor I found 20th Century Motor Lodge within my price range. Though farther than I wanted to drive, the advertized price ($35-57) was reasonable. Upon arrival I was quoted 59.00 for one night - one person and ended up paying $62.54. A far cry from a 35.00 room. I inquired about the 35.00 rooms and was told they do not exsist and it must be a mistake. I showed the gentleman the web site price hoping he would honor it, but he only said he would tell the owner. Considering the extra distance I drove and the late hour of the day, I took the room. The room were very nice but I would have liked to see them honor the web price. You caught me once !!!

If you are looking for a extended stay place, but not the price, this is the place.
We sold our home in Claremont, and were in between escrows for about 1 month. We asked the owner to show us some rooms, and he showed us various options, with microwave/fridge, with mini kitchen, etc.. and prices were reasonable. He was very nice, and accommodating.
Everything he said was true, in regards to the internet, pool, and neighborhood businesses to eat, etc. The place is very quiet, rooms recently remodeled, and clean. At times I had to work in the room there, and the cleaning staff was very courteous and also accommodating. Unfortunately Time Warner was upgrading the internet in the rooms, so at times it was a little bumpy
Overall, great experience if you are in between homes, and need

I made a reservation online/via E-mail & followed up with confirmation by phone for a reservation over the Thanksgiving holiday for my 91 year old Mother. When we arrived at the motel, just 15 minutes after the stated check in time, we were informed that "oops, we double booked the room & we don't have a room for you!" The front desk person offered to call their "sister motel"...located several miles away in a run down area of Azusa. We had no choice but to accept that option, after having called the Best Western a couple of blocks away, only to find they were full. Fortunately their "sister motel" was clean & the staff very kind and accommodating to my elderly Mother. I would not recommend making a reservation at 20th Century Motor Lodge without having a backup plan in place!

My family and I booked a room at the 20th Century Motor Lodge over the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend 2015. When we checked in, I was bothered to see that the grounds were under construction (they did not tell me this when I booked my room). The area right outside our room was tore up and yellow tape was marking the grounds around the sidewalk. In my mind I thought, "well.. we are just sleeping here so it should be fine...". That first night, around 11 pm, we began to hear very loud noises coming through the walls. We thought it was the people next door so we just did our best to settle in and go to sleep. At 5 am, the noises started up again. It woke me out of a dead sleep, it was so loud. It didn't stop. As we were driving out for the day, I stopped at the office to let them know of the situation and I was told that if it happened to again to call and they'd come and check it out. The next morning it started AGAIN around 5 am. I called the office and complained but they did nothing. Then, at about 8 am, construction workers began working RIGHT OUTSIDE our front door and window. Banging and scraping, digging and raking. This was a holiday weekend. We were on vacation and getting no sleep, no rest. We left again for the day (we were there visiting family in Glendora). That night when we returned to our room, the loud noises started AGAIN and they lasted all through the night and were still sounding into the early morning. We packed up and stopped in at the office. I spoke to the Manager/Owner about our stay and got no sympathy. She only got defensive. She told me that the noises were from the hot water heater that was damaged due to the construction. Really? So, they knew this but didn't tell us when we complained. They did not offer us a different room when we complained multiple times, nothing. I asked her why she was not upfront and honest with me when I booked my room about the construction and she had no answer but to say "no one else has complained". Standing in the office you will see a huge sign that says "No Refunds". That tells me right there that they have had plenty of complaints. I told her that I didn't feel it was right to be charged what we were to stay at a place under construction with a damaged water heater that made noises all through the night. No response. No sympathy. Nothing to try to make it right. So... just be leery if you stay here. If something goes awry, don't expect to be compensated, don't expect any sympathy or for them to take responsibility for it.

We stayed there after we had cancelled because they claimed they never received our notice and said they would charge us anyway because it was past the 24 hour notice required. This is a Mom and Pop business that lacks attention when it comes to the business part. The room was clean and priced reasonably.
It was August and the heat was on in the room even though the switch was off. The owner (male) did come and turn off the pilot light. He seemed nice at the time and we were grateful. The air conditioner was old, but we thought it would cool down.
We were very tired from driving across the country and went to bed. We tossed and turned because our room never fully cooled down. At 3:00 am, I called the office and got an answering machine. (This is another downfall of a Mom and Pop hotel). I left a message saying I wasn't happy with this situation and stated that either we needed someone to check the air conditioning or get another room.
HERE IS WHERE IT GETS WEIRD....We received a call from the male owner a few minutes later and I restated my earlier concern. It was like talking to a different person. He was extremely rude and told us that if we wanted a refund (I only asked for a refund for the next day) that we needed to vacate the room immediately. When I said I would not, he insisted again. I told him he would have to call the police to make that happen. I was so upset that I couldn't sleep for the rest of the evening as I was waiting for a knock on the door at any moment from this irate man.
The next morning my wife went to the office to get our 2nd day refund. The male owner was apologetic and was completely different from the man I spoke to at 3:00 am. He offered us another room or the option of a refund. Needless to say, I took the refund.
As an entertainer, I travel worldwide and have never been spoken to as I was by the male owner. His Jekyll/Hyde behavior is indicative of a bigger problem that he has (fill in your own blank here).

This property is definitely no-frills but you don't pay for them either. You will encounter a clean room with comfy beds. The owners are amazingly personable. Pops kindly switched my room to a cheaper alternative when I told him I didn't need a second bed. It was a 5 minute drive to APU, and a 2 minute drive to Donut Man. :) I would definitely stay here again.

We booked this motor lodge under great reviews and the room was a total disgrace. Rusty water coming out of the tub, carpet very dirty, looked like someone had been killed in it with bleach stained carpet, remote didn't work, dead flies all around the carpet, broken Wi-Fi, uncovered electrical outlets, kitchen floor sticky. Would never recommend this place to stay in!

I'd take this place over the Big luxury hotels anyday! Adorable place, well kept & just off Rt 66. The staff is super nice & everything is convenient. Ice machine & soda machine convenient... having the little kitchenette was a plus. Very clean! Stayed 2 nights for business & wish I could stay longer! If I had 1 con comment - the water is SUPER hot - we are talking burning hot. Could not get shower to cool down at all. But it beats a cold shower. Best little place in the LA area!

We were staying 10 days and on the third day we left a dirty towel on the floor, when we came back at night we try to use a towel and we notice that they put the same dirty towel back on the clean towels without cleaning, they didn't vacuum either, and when we complain about it they told us to go somewhere else.
