I just completed a trip down the coast starting from Washington and south of San Francisco. This was the worst place that my friend and I stayed at, and ironically, it was the most expensive. Of course to our dismay we visited about four different places in Garberville and all were around the same price. I guess supply/demand dictates this...

We were going to camp, but this weekend the campsite was closed due to a storm, so we'd no option but to book a motel. This one was $110/night. Not expensive, but definitely not even worth half the price. The coffee maker was broken, the toilet was broken, the bedside lamp was 3 prong, so we couldn't plug it into...

My mom and I had been driving for 13 hours down the coast from Portland and couldn't drive anymore. Everywhere else was at capacity, so we found this small place for cheap. We walked in and couldn't believe our eyes. We tried to convince ourselves we could stay for just one night, but after making our way around the room...

My family and I were headed home from a camping trip up north. I didn't want to drive in the dark and needed a place to crash for the night. The Best Western was booked and Lone Pine Motel was the next on the strand. They had a room, so I took it. The East Indian fellow (the owner I...

This motel is one of the worst we have ever stayed in while travelling in the USA. It is really old and tired and run down. The outside looks okay, but check your room before you pay -stupidly we didn't... Our room smelled like an old wet dog and the electrical fittings were easily older than 1970! I was scared...

Room and furniture are decrepit and dirty. Found several mosquito's flying in room. Found pot on floor from previous occupant so room was not vacuumed. Faint old smoke odor. When we first arrived windows were wide open with screens half off. Slimey feel to room.

I think the Motel is as old as the Hills in which it is placed. Dirty, smelly, electrical sparks anytime you plug anything in, not to mention no electrical outlets in bathroom. Place is in total disrepair. Manager very crude and not willing to listen to anyone. Someone should report to the building inspector and have his C.O.O. revoked. Upon...

Manager is really Crude, and Mean. Loves to Yell. Obviously hates the US and is in fact an Anti American. Hates Partying and Cigarettes, even owns a bar, and has the nerve to call it the Humboldt Bar, and dress it like a dance club. He's a degenerate who lives on the property 24/7/365 and does not leave or go...

The Owner though it was ok to walk directly into our room. there were multiple times. As far as hospitality goes, i would not recommend this place. The swimming pool looks like a health hazard. Room was dirty.

We are hardy travelers, fine with the most basic and cheap accommodations. But, oh my goodness, the Lone Pine fails to meet our lowest standards. The lighting was so poor it was hard to tell if our room was clean or not. We did awaken without any apparent infection or insect infestation--surprisingly. The property is in extremely poor condition: holes...
