- This experience happened to us in Feb 2015- After spending 3 awesome nights in Blue Lagoon, we went to BOP (as we had booked it in advance...) and it was terrible. We were 3 of us and when we arrived we were the only guests in "the resort" if you can call it "resort". The people who run the...

I feel terrible for writing this review, as I know its their livelihood and income, but something needs to be said. My partner and I were doing a round the world trip last year and decided to do some island hopping while in fiji. We booked Bay of Plenty for our 4th night on the chain, and were used to...

We pay too much for what we get. The bure was very old and not clean. There were ants everywhere in the room. We did not have any running water at first. Once the problem solved, what we got is a VERY muddy water. Shower and toilets were blocked. Mosquito window screens had huge holes. The food wasn't good, and...

I didn't have very high expectations of this place when I arrived, however it turned out to be a wonderful stay. I was at Bay of Plenty for four nights and for two of them I was the only guest. Positives: - Exceptionally peaceful - Beautiful surroundings with the village next door - Picturesque 30 minute walk to the pristine...

So, I just wrote a really long review, but then it disappeared...so let me try a shorter version: Amazing people, great food, beautiful grounds. If you want to relax and have great experiences with Fijian people, this is the place for you. You will feel like a part of their family by the time you leave. You can hike, kayak,...

What a unique experience! As the only guest I stayed in my own hut on the hill and enjoyed the luxury of undisturbed peace and quiet for three days! Forget the commercial tourist industry, Bay of Plenty is an unspoilt natural haven away from it all. Jerry and Rosa were amazing hosts and were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The traditional...

Bay of Plenty was exactly what I wanted; peace and quiet. This resort you will not find the white sandy beaches, aqua blue ocean, or room amenities. If you want to lean about the Fijian culture, the people, the history, life in a Fijian village well you have come to the right place. I stayed for 7 nights in my...

Most people come to the Yasawas looking for beaches and snorkelling. Those activities don't occur on your doorstep at Bay of Plenty, but I was more than happy to see 10 species of birds from my veranda in an hour, and explore the flats and mangrove edge at low tide photographing herons, shorebirds/waders, and terns, and marine life such as...

Fiji without a beach? What? OK…stay with us. Bay of Plenty may not have a flashy white sand beach, many palm trees or a coral reef…but what it does have is a rarer and more valuable commodity, an incredible amount of peace and quiet. The hilltop bures offer the best view you’ll get in the Yasawa’s, and at the bottom...

Wonderful place, amazing food, wonderful people, we are not the party type and were delighted to stay in this very special place. We hope to be back. We stayed at Bay of Plenty almost a week and enjoyed each and every minute. If you want to be the only tourists on the island and don't mind walking 25 minutes to...
