Spent one night here in July when temps in LA were over 100! Great location near bike trails, kayak rentals and hiking paths, all in sight of the lake. Camp site was lovingly tended prior to our arrival, large rocks were grouped, dirt was raked, no trash in sight. Public restrooms with showers were clean and easy to reach even...

Alot of sites offer plenty of shade and trees where you can hang your hammocks. Some sites offer plenty of space/privacy where as some sites offer little privacy. I did run into some rowdy campers in the past but I worry more about people setting off their car alarm super early in the morning! Bathrooms are always well maintained, nice...

We tent camped for three days at Serrano and loved it! Here are our tops reasons - Location is great - On the lake with a fabulous bike/walking path that runs along the lake and ends at the bridge just across from town. Spacious tent sites with plenty of privacy, a huge picnic table and fire ring. Safe and secure...

Great camp site. Nice "big" spots so you don't feel like you’re on top of one another. Only thing I wish is that the bathrooms were closer to the hookup spots. I know most RVs have bathrooms but most pop ups don't and from space 58 to the nearest bathroom is a 1/4 mile walk. Not horrible but at night...

A lovely pine tree filled campground that is huge! Most of the full hookups r wide. many more dry camp sites. Super clean all around. Friendly employees and hosts. Very quiet at night even tho close to road. Noise isn't an issue. Nice walking/bike path close along lakeside. Didn't have an opportunity to visit bathrooms but heard frm other campers...

Review is specifically for camp ground #131 in Lakeview Loop. Overall, I highly recommend this campground. Pros: -Affordable (think of it as a 1000 star hotel with a price of $$...can't beat that :)) -Check-in/Check-out process is a breeze (rangers were super nice to us & answered all questions) -Family/kid friendly/pet friendly (seen many dogs here & they do not...

My family and I camped here for 5 days in July, 2016. The campsite was spacious and shady. The Rangers were friendly and informative. The restrooms and showers were super clean and free, the best I have seen at a camp ground. The location is amazing and within walking distance to the lake. It's scenic and so relaxing. Yes, the...

Serrano campground is a federal campground on the North side of Big Bear lake. Heavily wooded location just a short walk to Big Bear lake. A great escape from the high temps. at home. Well kept and maintained by a friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this campground!

The pros: 1. Literally the cleanest bathrooms and showers I have ever seen camping - and we have camped in MANY places in California. Consider me impressed. 2. There are many bathrooms and showers, so no matter where your site is, its not far. 3. The walking/biking trail is fantastic - beautiful scenery and plant life. 4. They greeted our...

We stayed here for 2 nights/3 days in July. Stayed in the double campsite (115/116?) with a couple of other family. One night, it got unexpectedly cold for some so be prepared for cold mountain weather. Overall, very nice location so close to LA. We went kayaking and bobsledding in the town across the lake. Good: * 5 minute walk...
