This is a lovingly restored historic home with a one or two bedroom apartment on the second floor. My husband and I stayed in the one bedroom which is extremely well appointed. The is a comfortable and cozy living room with craftsman style leather furnishings and a well equipped small kitchen. Great coffee-making devices include fresh ground coffee refreshed daily. The is also half and half, orange juice, water bottles, tea, napkins, foil, etc. The bathroom is spacious with thick towels and a towel warmer. The bedroom had a cedar closet, and the king sized bed has excellent quality bed linens. There is even a little office with an antique desk and Tiffany lamps. Daily housekeeping is included as is a gourmet hot breakfast with creative offerings. The pleasant backyard has a pergola and a delightful stone fireplace equipped with all you need to build a fire. Renee, the owner, lives on site and is extremely responsive to any needs or questions. She replies to texts immediately. We had such pleasant stay, we will be returning to the Inn next month!

Nestled in a quite neighborhood, the Hydrangea Inn is a lovely, well attended B&B. The rooms are super clean and well attended to with everything one could think off. The bathrooms even have towel warmer, a nice perk for cool nights. There’s a small but very well equipped kitchenette. Couple of water bottles, OJ and fresh milk is nicely prepared in the fridge, and aromatic grounded coffee beens are ready for use in the French maker. Note that the upstairs unit has only a mini fridge. Renee is a wonderful host who’s ready to attend to any question and need. Suffice to say her breakfasts are a reason to wake up for! COVID procedures are in place as they should be. We will be back! Thank you Renee SO much!

I stayed here with my family for two nights in June, our first little vacation since the pandemic and all that entails. The craftsman-style house is spotless and warm, full of cool antiques and comfortable furnishings. We had the entire upstairs apartment; two bedrooms, living area, bathroom, kitchen and an adorable little writing alcove with stained glass overlooking the beautifully landscaped backyard. I don’t know if the host and her family do the landscaping and gardening or if they hire someone but it’s gorgeous, even better than the photos on the website. You never know what you’ll get with the beds in a B&B, but the Hydrangea Inn is more like a boutique hotel in that regard....the headboards might be antique but the mattresses are modern and comfortable. Our hostess provided contactless check-in and left us to enjoy our privacy, but was responsive on texts to any questions we had. Each morning she left a basket full of hot delicious breakfast for us, and we enjoyed the French press coffee and selections of tea, with a fridge filled with thoughtful items like Bottled water, milk and fresh OJ. The location is maybe a mile from the Old Town in Eureka on a quiet street where you can park for free. Area guides to hiking and the state/national parks were provided which was helpful. A few local restaurants have begun serving dine-in customers, which was a nice treat after 3 months of shutdowns! If you find yourself traveling to Eureka and enjoy craftsman style, check into this inn.

Thank you for the extensive review and great effort in noticing the details we take pride in. We are greatful we are small and can offer contact less check in and contact less stays with each place having its own entrance. Our large back garden even allows guest to gather and visit with lots of room for social distancing.

My 40th Eureka High School Reunion was the reason I was in Eureka this past weekend. I purposely chose "The Hydrangea Inn", because of the fantastic reviews on this site. The reviews were spot on. I stayed in the Redwood Bungalow and it was beautifully outfitted with everything I needed. It included a very cute patio, a lovely kitchen/ dining / living area and a super comfy bed. It even came with towel warmers that I used after my shower ! The delicious breakfast in the morning and the super yummy chocolate chip cookie in the afternoon was perfect. The owner of "The Hydrangea Inn ", Renne Chappelle is both a delight and a new friend of mine. She went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. She went out of her way to take me to both of my events(there and back) ! No other Bed and Breakfast has EVER DONE THAT ! If I could give her 10 Stars I would in a heartbeat ! This Bed and Breakfast is hands down Absolute Perfection !
