This was our second visit here as last time did not seem nearly long enough. We stayed 3 nights in Molly's garden which is a sweet room with its own fridge and microwave. Although the room does not overlook the ocean it is only a few steps round to the summer house where you can sit to admire the view...

Our decision to stay at the inn was rather last minute as we had originally booked a trip to Carmel. The terrible fires were raging at Big Sur so we canceled and decided to head north instead and booked The Elk Cove Inn based on the recommendation of friends. After a drive up the coast from SF, we located the...

Myself, my friend, and my dog stayed here for two nights. I cannot recall a better stay in my life! We were warmly welcomed by staff who gave us a basket of goodies for ourselves and for my dog. We stayed in the Bavarian Cottage- it was absolutely magnificent. The comfort level was off the charts with the huge bed,...

We stayed here while traveling up the NorCal coast; the views are spectacular. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The trail down to the beach is easy, and the driftwood covered beach is beautiful. Breakfast was yummy. Next time I will have to try the spa!

Lovely location, quaint room, awesome view to the sea from the shower, big breakfast with something for everyone (heavy on the yummy but unhealthy items) cute, tiny town. Will need to be careful to keep rooms up to date soon... But for now, nice:-)

The room was modernized and very comfortable. Welcomed at the desk even with late arrival and had fruit and wine in the room. They asked if we had eaten and immediately called a restaurant to reserve us a table. It was wonderful! The trail to the beach was easy and picnic tables were inviting. The breakfast was excellent! would recommend this...

The Bay Area is blessed with a number of great places to visit within a (relatively) short drive: Lake Tahoe, Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur, Napa Valley and the Mendocino Coast. While a visit to the Town of Mendocino is a must, an overnight stay there is not. A less frenetic alternative is 16 miles south in the Town of Elk (aka Greenwood)....

Elk is a place we'd just whizzed by on our first vacation on the breathtaking Mendocino County coast several years earlier. This time, after some online research, we stayed at the Elk Cove Inn. The welcome could not have been friendlier, the staff could not have been more helpful, and the room was comfortable, well appointed, and fully equipped. Our...

the location of this inn is a place you really want to be. it is off the grid, about 25 miles south of mendocino. the town has a couple really good eateries, bit this inn is singularly a great destination. our room was a little tight, but nicely done, comfy bed and with 1 minute of the breakfast buffet, where...
