This hotel was completely remodeled and has new owner who is very family oriented. The rooms have new carpets, fresh paint and new furniture including new beds. It's very clean and has a lot of parking space. The location is perfect and I will always stay there.

We arrived late in San Diego and needed a place to sleep. Because all of the other motels where full we ended up here. Overprised, dirty and not a safe area for the night. But, it is what it is. This motel have only feew rooms for rent, the rest rooms are for local people who lives there for a period or more. Absolutely not for couples with kids!

Expensive for backpackers in San Diego. So late at night we ended up in Serena motel.. The first thing we saw was a sign that said "no visitors alowed".. Dirty, shabby rooms. We did not feel safe here at all. Seemed like locals lived here. Would not be surprised if someone tried to rob us, or if we heard a gunshot. But luckily we survived the night!!! Just checked out the next morning and the firealarm went off!! Djiiiz! Evereyone out of the rooms - the local most tired people really did live there!

The room is old and the towels are ugly. This place shouldn't be open for business. I was afraid that someone was going to break in our car at night. Very dubious people. Our room had a small bathtub and the owner of the place is calling that a jacuzzi. No jacuzzi people it's just a bathtub and not a nice one its a nasty old one.

please stay away from this hotel, its not a hotel nor a motel, its a place where you can sleep with a girl for $25 (do you know what i mean). the room is super nasty (bathroom, bed, carpet, walls, and furniture), no air circulation inside the room which make you go outside and breath! yes, i swear its that bad. i couldn't stay in the room for 5 minutes, so i went down to cancel my reservation and find a different place. Hotels.com cancel my reservation, however the hotel still charged me for the whole night even though i didn't check in (i just peeked at the room for few minutes, so i opened a case with my card for a full refund. the place doesn't have an office, you have to talk to the owner through a window which make you feel you are in a bad neighborhood gas station! …

I hated this place. The owner is very rude and I couldn't understand a word he was saying. The rooms were disgusting. Towels had stains on them. Bathroom tub and floor were filthy. Worst part was the phone rang at 9am in the morning from the front counter.... Yea I know check out is at 10:30am. That doesn't mean call me at 9am to wake me up to remind me.. I would never stay here again and you shouldn't either.
