Great stay. Need to recognize two front desk staff (Ramita and Katie) both were friendly and professional.
Staff in restaurant were also very friendly and were always happy to assist. Management doing a great job in mantaining consistant quality. Keep up the great work.

Hi Jennifer, I noticed your question hasn't been answered yet. I am looking for an alternative (less expensive) location for a San Francisco leisure trip. The Dublin/Pleasanton Holiday Inn seems to be close to public transportation. It is about 0.3 or 0.4 miles to the West Dublin/Pleasanton Bart-station, so it would take a 5 to 10 minute walk to the station. If you have a car, the station has two parking garages. These may fill up during the morning commute, the Bart website doesn't say when (if at all). There's a $3 per day fee.
A one way trip to either Embarcadero or Powell Street station is less than $7. At the underground Embarcadero Station you would change to the (surface) F-line Street Car ($2.75) to Fisherman's Wharf, where it will terminate/turn. Alternatively you could exit the Bart train at the Powell Street station, where you have a choice of taking either Cable Car. The one that goes to Hyde Street or the one that goes to Mason Street. Both will terminate near Fisherman's Wharf, so stay on board for the full length of the trip. Every time you board a cable car it's $7, unless you buy a Visitor Pass or City Card.
If you are going to ride the Cable Cars more than once a day, you might want to load a 1-day pass on your MuniMobile Smartphone App - or on a Clipper Card. Because then it's 'only' $12. You could also buy a paper pass, that one is $22.
The Bart-part of the trip takes about 40-45 minutes, so it will take over an hour before you even get to San Francisco. But (in my case) this hotel has free parking and only costs about 40% of a downtown hotel. So I'm still thinking...
