Stayed at this hotel early September for 1 week , hotel set in a lovely position in Achladias bay very good pool setting right on the beach. Hotel very clean staff very friendly and helpful , on the minus side food in our opinion was poor(cold). Fridge in room waste of time overall room was ok. Would return if food improves.

Firstly this review is caveated by the post Covid situation! I agree with most of the reviewers the hotel is dated and cannot compete with the other hotels nearby with similar price bracket. However there is something charming about it dated-ness. The staff will do anything to help especially the waiters in the dining area. The rooms and pool area is spotless and always clean throughout the day. The half board mediaocre at best and I wonder why they are still choosing to serve half board as there were hardly anyone dining in there. Breakfast is ok fills a hole for the day but there is a nice bakery up the road for a decent coffee and crossiant. On the whole a nice experience but for what you pay you could have a more modern hotel with better air con and cool fridge!!!!! Finally superb location of course and make sure you ask for sea view

2 great weeks at this hotel, staying half board with my family. It is running well below capacity at the moment so it is bliss! Always loungers at the pool and the beach, no matter what time of day. The rooms are simple and traditional, which is fine for us. The only negative we had was the air con system is old and dated, and a bit hit and miss, as is the fridge. However, this really hasn't been too much of an issue for us. Breakfast and evening meals are buffet style but covid safe snd all guests are currently eating outside. He foodvis varied and delicious, and the best vegetarian selection I gave found in many years of travel. The bar and restaurant staff are excellent and give fantastic service. A big shout out to Kaliopi who absolutely made our evenings in the bar with impromptu Greek lessons for the children too. The water bus is an excellent addition and leaves regularly from the little jetty outside the hotel bar to Skiathos town. 3 euros per adult and children are free (under 10 I think). It is only 3 euros in a taxi to and from town also. I would fully recommend this hotel and hope to return again in the future.

This was the first time we had been back to Skiathos since our honeymoon 30 years ago. We then stayed in The Belvedere but loved the location of Esperides so we booked to go there for our 30th anniversary! Yes it is dated, but that’s what we wanted, a real Greek hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and although we only had 2 evening meals at the hotel, the food was absolutely fine. The location was perfect and there was never a lack of sun beds on the beach, although I thought the pool could do with a few more. The staff at the hotel were always polite and very friendly, especially at the Beach Bar where we always stopped for a drink late afternoon. The water taxi ran like clockwork (as it did 30 years ago) and is a great way to travel to Skiathos Town. We also hired a moped through the hotel which gave us the opportunity to visit other beaches on the island. All said, I definitely won’t be waiting another years before I return!
