We decided to do a stay-cation for our anniversary. I could not believe what little gem we found at the Secret Garden Inn. It is such a eclectic little place. We did not feel like we were in San Diego anymore. The room was clean and quiet, yet still in the heart of Old Del Mar with FREE PARKING! We...

Del Mar is known for its high prized hotel environment, often with only ok quality. This time I chose the Secret Garden Inn for its convenient location. The Inn has a handful of rooms, and to get to them one needs to pass through Cafe Secret, which, especially during mealtimes and with baggage, is not really convenient. Check in is...

Had a great time. Wonderful rooms. Beds were super comfy. Short walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. Be sure to eat at En Fuengo Mexican restaurant just a few short blocks from the Inn. Another good place is Johnny O's. The entire area is dog friendly, even the restaurant's.

We love the location - down the stairs to our favorite restaurant in Del Mar, Cafe Secret. Great free breakfasts every morning! Walking distance to all of our other favorite restaurants, and a 2 minute walk to the bluffs and the beach. The deck (for the single bed rooms) is tiny but fine for two people to have coffee and...

I used to live less than a mile from this hotel and never even knew it was here. I live in LA now but come down here for work. I adore everything about this hotel! The decor the space everything feels so sacred and yummy! You feel like you are walking into a gorgeous hotel in Bali, Thailand, or Europe....

The room is small is very quirky and unique. To say that there is a two person tub and an ocean view is a stretch, but you can technically see the ocean. The room is very comfortable, I loved all of the custom touches. The floors are custom and there are wooden beams. The bed is very comfortable and it...

This is perfect for a small family as it has two separate bedrooms, but each only has one bed. People were very helpful and nice. Breakfast came from the cafe downstairs to order and we could sit on the balcony and eat.

My hubby and I stayed at The Secret Garden Inn for a weekend getaway. Excellent service. We stayed on the top floor. Two bedroom suite with a beautiful balcony. Great ocean views. Very relaxing. The staff brought our breakfast to our room. Ask for John the owner of the property. He's wonderful and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

We would love to book this B&B but their website states that they only take reservations 1 month in advance. We have to book plane tickets and nail down our lodgings, I can't see waiting until only 1 month ahead to know we'll have a place to sleep. Since most good places book up long before that, we could end...

Very small place--only 5 units (though I only saw 4). Three of us stayed in the penthouse over Thanksgiving. We could've held Thanksgiving dinner for 12-16 ppl on the deck, which has outdoor seating, fireplace, private hot tub (great after spending day in ocean), and grill. There are two king (?) beds, one of which actually is in its own...
