Decided to try this motel based on its website. Very misleading. Yes, it has ocean front views, but the hotel rooms are about 20 feet from the Pacific Coast Hwy (Hwy 1), which is bordered by frequently used train tracks, before you can even see the beach/ocean. That translates into a lot of noise. Yes, it is family owned, but...

My wife & I stayed here in late May 07: marvelous! After reading the reviews I prepared her for the worst - you'd think it would be run down, filthy & unfriendly. WRONG. It's a Route 66 era hotel, directly across from the beach, & sporting a distinct character of it's own. Family owned & run, you can't compare it...

Let me preface this by saying that I am a frequent business and personal traveler who primarily stays in: private rentals, B&B's, military resorts and mid to upper range hotel chains. I booked a 2 night stay via a "airfare and hotel" combo on a large travel site. When we arrived at the hotel late the first night, we were...

Beware-dirty! My husband and I picked the Seaside because of the location. Were planning on staying April 6-8. The location was wonderful, right across PCH from the beach. We got to our room and it was just so old and dirty! The place is in major needing of upgrades, cleaning and renovations. The shower had mold that was there so...

I had been wanting a weekend at the beach and after much thought and looking at the site and pics, I thought why not. Well when i first drove up, I thought Oh No now what...but I did have reservations and I did stay. The outside of the building can use some work, the office scared me....The man behind the...

I stayed at Capistrano seaside Inn in December 2005 in Capistrano Beach. The place is across the coastal Hwy from pacific ocean with a view of ocean from the room. The Inn is an old building but adequetly maintained. My room had saltio tiles and a metal woodburning fireplace -- they provide free wood for fireplace --. The common zacuzzi...

We didn't stay at the inn. Three months ago we stopped on a Sunday about 1:00 p.m. and asked the lady in the office if we could look at one of the rooms. She was VERY rude and said there wasn't one vacant for us to look at. We could see empty rooms so that made us very leery of...

Filthy. The room had trash in it from the previous occupant. The shower was wet and obviously just used. The dirty towels were still there. I didn't even want to sit anywhere. Absolutely horrible. We checked out the next morning. BTW, bring your own firewood; they don't supply that.

This place was not what the picture promised. In fact I ended up not staying there. I booked online and had no idea what I was in for when I arrived. Once seeing the place I canceled my reservation and left. This hotel was dirty and would not recommend it.

My husband and I are game for travel adventure, but sometimes we get more (or significantly less) than we bargained for. We booked a room at this hotel after viewing it's web site, but then found out, when we checked in, that this hotel outright lied about some of the ammenities listed on its web site. There was no HBO,...
