Stayed here for a weekend and had one of the most fantastic experiences so far on a weekend escape. An amazing space (houses-well equiped, well decorated, pristine) and landscape where we have the freedom to do nice walks and/or cycling through the estate and discover some curiosities like some friendly donkeys, sheeps or an ancient tree. The SPA and the fantastic indoor pool are delightfull. And the cherry on top of the cake: the staff! Very well educated, attentious, competent and most important, friendly. These are people that care about you...and that is priceless!

We spent two nights as a family with our pet and we had an amazing experience at Monte Giestal. The staff/team was very nice, fresh fruit juice and warm croissants for breakfast. Indoor warm pool, sauna, etc. Most beautiful view to watch nature, sunrise/sunset. We could order dinner from local restaurante that was delicious without leaving the villa. Each villa has complete kitchen and fireplace (+ AC) which felt like home and perfect for cold winter days. Perfect for a nice long walk in the many hectars/kms the hotel has. We will return very soon and recommend it. Thank you Monte Giestal.

Everything about the stay was perfect!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was also great (T1 Standard), the kitchen is very well equipped, the house has air conditioning as well as a fireplace. Even tho all the houses have a kitchen you also have a really good breakfast included, and they also have a restaurant to partner with that serves both lunch's and dinner's and deliver it to your apartment. The spa is also really good. Disclaimer: The wifi is not great, although they have invested a lot in making it better, the telco companies simply don't have good service or wifi in those areas, not their fault, on the other hand its great to disconect from the world a bit and relax.

Monte do Giestal is a hidden treasure. It is located in the middle of a cork oak forest with winding nature paths. There are also lovely olive trees sprinkled around. Breakfast is served every morning with the name of your villa on a reserved table. In addition, you can place dinner orders from a local restaurant with authentic Portuguese cuisine, and the hotel delivers it to your door in a picnic basket. The reception also has delicious Portuguese wines you can buy for great prices. The hotel also makes delicious gin and rum drinks from a local distillery. The gin is absolutely delightful. The staff at the hotel were friendly and attended immediately to every request. We did not get massages, although they are available; however, we did enjoy the heated pool (amazing jets), the sauna and the hot tub. It was also a treat to feed apples and pears to the beautiful donkeys on the property. I feel so grateful that I had the opportunity to visit this lovely property. P.S. When we arrived a wedding party was leaving. They were having lunch on the wide, spacious verandah. The couple had just gotten married underneath an ancient cork oak. It would be a wonderful place to get married. All in all, this was a magical property.

Only stayed for one night but we got to tour the grounds. And use the amenities. What a great spot. The vilas are exceptional and well stocked With a brilliant traditional breakfast of meats cheese bread Juice and cake. I don’t know if I’ll ever be back this way but if I get the opportunity I’d love to spend more time here. The young lady at the desk on Thursday June 6 in the evening was amazing.

We had a great stay at Monte Do Giestal! It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The services are great: nice breakfast, a poolbar and the possibility to order your evening meal to be delivered at your house (so we could enjoy it at our terrace :--)). The staff was very friendly and accessible, they were present at lot during the day and always reachable through Whatsapp, which was very convenient. The house was really nice and spacious. The bathroom can use an update, but everything was very clean. Nice location for kids, with the 2 pools, tennis court, little playground and nice walk through the cork trees!

Everything.. but above all the confort that was to just order food from the restaurant and have it delivered on our room. It makes everything so much easier and better. Breakfast as also this option that we valued a lot. Hiking around the area was also very nice and quiet.
The pool could perhaps be bigger but its just a very small detail among so many wonderful things about this place

We spent one night in Monte do Giestal. We chose the location because of the convenient distance form the coast, and Setubal peninsula. It is situated outside the town, so the location is private and quiet. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and as a part of the property there is a cork oak grove where we had our morning walk. The grounds are nicely landscaped and there is private parking close the the accommodation. Our Villa was spacious and beautifuly designed.The kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked fine.We had breakfast in the main building. The selection of the food was excellent. All employees we met were friendly and helpful. We didn't have time to use the spa, but we hope for another stay in this great place. Definitely recommend!

We (wife, two sons (19 and 17) and me stayed here for one night as a stop off on the way from Lisbon to our holiday villa. After a long day of travelling we arrived at around 8.30pm to a warm welcome from the receptionist. She was very helpful, friendly and informative (fortunately for us she had good English and I understand is better with her French, Spanish and German). The accommodation was spacious enough for the four of us, clean and comfortable with sufficient equipment for our requirements. Most apartments are grouped around a pleasant swimming pool with a separate paddling pool. However, they are sufficiently distant to allow privacy. The communal areas are well tendered comprising of paths, grassed areas and flower beds. There is also a separate children's play area with climbing frames and the like. The apartments are in a rural location and a little hard to find as they are accessed from an unmade track leading from the N121. Follow the Tourismo Rural sign. A very nice overnight stay, excellent buffet breakfast with a choice of cereals, bread rolls, meats, cheeses, jams and cooked foods including scrambled eggs and bacon. We would certainly return. I've not scored value for money as we only stayed the one night (the price was reasonable for 4 adults). Likewise I've not scored location as that will depend on an individuals requirements.

If you want to relax with your family is the right spot to be. The houses are appropriate to the necessities of families and the swimming pool is great to play with the children. The receptionists are very friendly and very helpful.
