The accommodations are not fancy. They are clean, really quiet and convenient. They had a sweet with a separate room for the kids. They had a real coffeemaker which is a plus for me. They have a pool and DVD's you can take to watch. Service was exceptional. I rated it a 3 because it is still older and outdated,...

We were looking for a family weekend getaway to explore local caves and caverns and the Columbia Inn was a welcomed surprise. The rooms were basic but nice, the owner very friendly and accomodating, and the pool was great on a hot day. A big plus was the very affordable price even with last-minute booking and centrally located near histoic...

We stopped off on our motorcycle tour of California. Everything was very clean and comfortable and the pool just irresistible! Spent an interesting day in the town absorbing history. Rob and Sheryl couldn't have been more helpful. Great value.

After a late night at the casino, we needed to find a hotel on Valentine's weekend. Everyone else was booked but we were lucky enough to stumble upon this little motel off the beaten path. At 3:00am,"Rob" the owner, set us up in a cute room with coffee, mini fridge, microwave and sattlite TV with a flat screen TV. The...

I am a traveling healthcare worker and worked in the area of San Andres. I ,unfortunately, came at the time of the fires. Housing was so hard to find. Finally I found a place that was only 35 min away instead of 1hr and 15 min. The owner and his wife were really nice and gave us a great rate....

We had my sister in-law check the "Inn" out for us before we arrived since she has a home around the corner :) She said it was clean so we took our chances. We LOVED our stay! Our room was clean, comfy and we never lacked for anything! Rob and Cheryl were wonderful! And the price!!!! You will not find...

The motel is very convenient to see the sights of Columbia. It is walking distance from the Columbia Theatre and restaurants. The service was very friendly and very accommodating. Sheryl is the best! One fine Mexican restaurant is just down the street called Le Jardin (excellent food and service).

I can only say I have stayed at many motel and hotels and this place is a real get away. The staff was old school friendly with a southern flare to say the least. So it was easy to make me forget about the stress of recent past stays at other hotels at the time. When I walk into my...

Chose this motel after reading reviews that it was clean (which is my most important requirement) and a non-smoking, no pets room. Rob does work hard to make his guests feel welcome. The motel is in the process of being updated: my room was much better than the room my traveling companions got (hopefully they'll comment on their stay). It...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rob and his fiancé Cheryl have put a lot of hard work, dedication and passion into the Columbia Inn Motel to make it a positive experience. We enjoy meeting and getting to enjoy our guests personally. Our goal is to make everyone feel at home while visiting ours. Rob served 14 years in the Air Force and has had several ventures since. One of which is 49er Mining Supplies, that he opened in 2001 and is currently located adjacent to the motel office. Rob's knowledge of mining is vast and he loves sharing with all. We invite you to come to the Columbia Inn Motel located in the heart of the Mother Lode and take a step back in time. Be sure you take time to visit the historic Columbia State Park which is a short walking distance from us. ... more   less
