The staff at the Clovis Hilton are superb! The location and cleanliness of the rooms is vey nice. I always try to stay at this location when in Clovis on business. The food and wait staff are clean, friendly and very helpful!

Hi, my husband has a work conference in Clovis coming up and I am trying to maneuver scheduling a room for him - I'm weary of credit cards and therefore we do not have any. Am I able to load a prepaid credit card to cover the cost of the room for 2 nights? I understand hotels will usually place a "hold" for a certain amount on a credit card, which is fine- I can ensure the prepaid card has enough on it to account for this hold, I'm simply wondering if there is a certain amount, percentage, etc, that is required? Or, if this is ill advised, what type of monetary hold would you place on a debit card for such a reservation? - It is what it is, and I am understanding of that, I am simply hoping to get some idea of what I should put aside, monetarily? If the room is say, $118 per night, and he were (or, even if by the grace of God, we found childcare and I was able to travel with him) to stay for 2 nights, $118 x 2 = $236 , would $450 be enough to ensure a "hold" could be placed on the card? I understand it is probably an annoyance to have to deal with perspective guests that don't utilize credit cards, I'd like to make it as painless as possible for all parties - simply want to know what I should do!
