It was a great place and now I can see that it is totally renewed. However I can see that the concept is the same. Cozy, petite, great place to take a breakfast, romantic for couples and bear of everything in Carmel.

All through my stay all I could think of was The Hideaway was made with me in mind. Ample lighting which could be soft when you want it to be, lots of mirrors, and enough electrical outlets. The beds were so comfortable. Even the sleeper couch was good. The guest room interiors are well-appointd and au courant. Our first floor...

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hideaway! We were in town for the Big sur International Marathon. The location was perfect for the early morning shuttle ride. The beach was close enough for a morning stroll. The best part was its location within the shops and restaurants but situated where it was still peaceful.

Our stay at the Hideway was perfect, staff, room, food! Rooms are newly renovated and really spacious. The breakfast and the wine and cheese on the afternoon are great. We would return there at anytime!

Had a great stay at the Hideaway. Small cozy & comfortable Inn. Terrific rooms and breakfast. Enjoyed meeting the other guests. Lovely area to walk around and the beach access is very close. The beach was a delight to walk.

My husband and I stayed at the Hideaway for three nights during the Big Sur Marathon. The location of the hotel is great - in that access to the ocean and all shops and restaurants is within a stone's throw, and yet the street itself is quiet. They offer a complimentary breakfast and a wine/cheese hour, both of which can...

You cannot beat this place! We've been coming to Carmel for a long time and have tried several places. This place has been the best. We originally planned to stay at another inn that we've gone to many times but somehow I came across this place. The deal being offered was amazing so we decided to try it out. The...

Rooms are super comfortable with everything you need. The courtyard and public areas are really cozy and well maintained. Great breakfast and lovely cheese and wine hour everyday. Just the most charming and helpful staff, especially Andrea. A peach. Can't wait to return.
