I just stayed here for one night, looking for somewhere comfortable and not outrageously priced at Carmel. You have to drive for about 15 minutes to reach Carmel I self, but the hotel is extremely comfortable with large bedrooms 'suites' huge bathrooms, fridges and coffee machines. Breakfast was reasonably priced and excellent, and when I asked if I could take...

Destination resort with apartment-condo style accommodations and a nice golf course and restaurant on a fairly large property near Carmel by the Sea. The units were pretty new, and the pool area and spa were accessible to private club members, so it is a hybrid resort- hotel- ranch. Mostly very nice, the spa was a full service place with pleasant...

It's like an oasis. Service is top, villa's are great and you can have a nice dinner (with some great wines). We spend some time at the pool, and gym, at the River(?) cafe (near entrance of the ranch). Our daughter had a great horse right in the surrounding area. Varmel is realy close and definately worth spending some time...

We stayed only one night for a special occasion. The front desk was so nice, they upgraded our room to a nicer room for our stay. We had an amazing, relaxing room overlooking the property. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, both pricey but great experiences. Food and service was great. We spent the day at the...

I came here with family for the Labor Day weekend. There are some distinct faults here that need fixing but overall we had a very good time and enjoyed the property. We had a very nice spacious room with a hilltop view of the valley within 5 minutes walking distance of the main lodge. The 200 rooms are closer to...

First the good: Comfy beds, spacious bathrooms, lovely views from the room, and lots of fireplaces. Fun activities like horseback riding, outdoor yoga in a stunning location, and warm, friendly, knowledgable instructors. Delicious food well-prepared, including the best (most fluffy, moist) omelet I've ever had. Very responsive housekeeping and room service teams. S'mores at night and big wood swings from...

Went to this hotel with my husband for a romantic trip and we had the best time ever. Service was top notch from the beginning to the end. The property is amazing, great hiking - for all levels - and the pleasant smell of lavender is all around. We visited two of their restaurants: the clubhouse for breakfast and the...

The sad part about this trip is that I'm still here. For the amount of money that I have spent - we should have and could have stayed somewhere else....anywhere else.... The food service is slow. Breakfast is slow...lunch is slow....and there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant. The kitchen just couldn't handle the orders....they should have known....

If you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing, 5 star retreat without the 5-star price tag, look no further. Carmel Valley Ranch has it all. My 26 year old daughter and I spend 3 magical days and 2 nights and just returned home. We went to yoga on the platform, played tennis, enjoyed the spa, pool, hiked, she went horse...
