We stayed 7 nights in a second floor queen bed room that was pet friendly. The balcony had a view of the ocean. The most impressive feature was the excellent hospitality! On the night of arrival, the clerk called to confirm we could make it in by 10pm, so we could pick up the key. If not, he would let...

This has proven to be a great hotel with all the amenities one would want and a great location. Offering a continental breakfast in a basket was misleading as it came in a picnic hamper with an offering that exceeded expectation and was a delightful surprise Quiet, clean and staff that gave great information and directions Definitely would recommend

Stayed for three nights in May. Checked in late, and owner coordinated it very well for our convenience. Very nice continental breakfast in a basket at the door every morning. Comfortable room with a small balcony. Very good location - short walk to all the restos and art galleries in Carmel. No smoking on the hotel grounds. Would definitely return.

We stayed in a spacious room with balcony overlooking rooftops with a view of the ocean (114). Also a gas fireplace. King bed comfortable. Breakfast (no choices) delivered to room in a basket - only so-so. Keurig in room to make your own coffee. Despite breakfast, we enjoyed our stay and loved the seagulls that came visiting on the balcony...

We had a very nice room...king bed, fireplace and view of the ocean from our deck. There was a great small kitchen setup with coffee counter and refrigerator. Bathroom was clean. Loved having a makeup mirror. It is at the top of the hill from downtown Carmel and the beach but that enabled us to have a nice view of...

Arrival: The Lodge was easy to find, google maps took us straight there. Parking on site is available and on the roads around the Last lodge. Friendly and fast check in. Location: Short walk to the main attractions and downtown. It's a great location. Rooms: The balcony sea view room we occupied was large. Good shower and toiletries provided, soft...

Breakfast comes to your door in a picnic basket! Our room wasn't too pricey either, with one queen bed. A walk downhill to Ocean Ave was the sandy area of the ocean and people playing volleyball on the beach. Lovely shops, quaint. We drove south on Route 1 to Pt Lobos and did the 6 mile loop hike where we...

The hubs and I stayed here for the first time just recently. We have a great sized room with mountain views. Ocean view rooms could be booked but the cost of the mountain view room was more in line with the experience we wanted to have, and we knew we'd be walking to the beach every day so didn't need...

We rented Cottage 205 and loved the 1940's feel: modern yet retro kitchen, pine floors, large fireplace, historic feel. The bed was comfortable, the front desk helpful, the town with Bruno's market, restaurants, galleries, shops, and the beach all within walking distance. The breakfast basket complete with daily paper was charming - such a delightful way to start the day....

My husband and I stay in Carmel a couple of times a year and have looked for a reasonably priced option with good views within the little town of Carmel. I think we've finally found a contender! This inn is up on a hill and the walk to and from Ocean Ave is not for everyone but it worked well...
