Our third, maybe fourth, stay. Clean, comfortable rooms, lovely grounds, great location only a block from the beach. While it is not Four Seasons or La Playa fancy, it's a great value. Staff helpful and responsive. Will remain repeat visitors.

Recommend to everyone! The place is just one block away from the beach. Fireplace is in the room. Dining room is bright and nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. We took a lot of pictures in the property.

First time in California and opted to visit Carmel. Beautiful area and the hotel was great. Very friendly staff, great rooms, very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful landscape and garden. Exactly what we were looking for. Only regret is that we were not there longer.

As always the Colonial Terrace Inn is an excellent choice of accommodations in a very idyllic spot. Service, friendliness, setting and location are all perfect. Well kept and artistically landscaped. Rooms are clean and well appointed.

Beautiful grounds, comfy room with nice amenities. Room was clean but didn't have enough linen for 3 guests. Very nice continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Parking could be tight, had to park on the street once in front of someone's home.

Lovely hotel just one block from beach. Grounds are beautifully maintained with an abundance of flowers. Room was large, clean and comfortable. A little older or less updated than we expected, but still very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Best thing about this was quiet, neighborhood area and proximity to the beach. Would definitely recommend it!

lobby needs to be less cafeteria looking. please bring back the nice old cozy couches , maybe remove 2-3 " cafeteria" tables and put back a couple of the old couches and coffee tables we have stayed here many times, this is first time we felt... like I was not at " home "

An average hotel at too high a price. The room was spacious and clean (except for the bath tub, which had old hair accumulated at the drain). The fireplace did not work properly and the first night we did not have wifi at all. Not likely we would stay there again.

Not only a beautiful venue--quiet and secluded--but charming as well. The room was lovely and spotless. The service impeccable; staff, especially Colleen, are welcoming and delightful! Breakfast daily was inviting; afternoon cookies with coffee are a special treat! The location is amazing--so close to a gorgeous beach--great for a morning walk with coffee! Do not miss this Carmel gem!

It keeps on getting better and better for us. We've been going the last 20 years. Open the window and you can see and hear the surf. Many rooms have gas fireplaces. Breakfeast is so so for us now that we're paleo, it's not a hot breakfast. A walk to the commercial area, they provide flashlights if you forgot yours....
