We spent one night and it was perfect for what we needed. Definietly an older property and rather higglty pigglty but that is part of the charm. We had a second floor room which meant lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs but the sun poured in our windows and it was very quiet. The location is perfect for strolling the...

I gave this hotel 2 stars because of its location and the pretty flowers on site. The front desk staff was robotic. She recited and didn't look at me once, let alone smile. Time to retire! There is a reason that management does not supply photos of the bathrooms - looks like they haven't been updated since the seventies. The...

This motel was was everything we expected. The grounds have many flowers and the place is simply charming. The front desk staff was helpful and sent us to a good restaurant for lunch, not overpriced and good food. Parking can be a problem if you have a larger vehicle but again the front desk came to our rescue. There appeared...

The Normandy is an old hotel with unusual charm. Depending on the room you get it is quite a maze with plenty of stairs. We booked a deluxe room with a fireplace. Room 110. The location is great! It is about 4 blocks to the beach and right in town. I will preface the comments to say I may be...

First time visit in the Carmel area. Normandy Inn is well priced for the area. The rooms are older but very well maintained keeping the charm of the past. Wonderful linens, quiet at night, nice continental breakfast in a relaxing setting. The Inn's grounds are beautiful and the pool area is small but nice. There is limited parking within the...

We stayed in the Normandy cottages with a couple of friends and had great time! The Hotel was clean and charming with the touch of Old French design, the breakfast in the morning was always fresh and rooms were cleaned nicely. The manager of the Hotel Sandra made us feel welcomed to her place and introduced us to Mr Taffy...

Have stayed at the Normandy Inn many times; always a great getaway. Quaint, very well maintained buildings. Some rooms with fireplaces. The lobby has a fireplace and the adjoining library is a quiet place to read or have coffee. WiFi is available in the lobby and library. Within walking distance of the Carmel shops and art galleries as well as...

We stayed in a duplex cottage, which was built in the 1920's. I enjoyed the unique architecture and clean room. However, the walls are thin and we were at the mercy of the inhabitants of the adjoining room. Unfortunately, they were very noisy but the management was helpful. Like everyone else, we headed for the beach to watch the sunset,...

After staying one night at a chain hotel in Carmel, we cancelled the remaining two nights there and booked a night at the Normandy Inn. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was huge. There were three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a very large living room and an attached dining area, a kitchen, and a back patio. The...
