Sometimes when you are visiting a place for the first time and need to book a hotel well in advance of your stay you can make a mistake as the online details do not quite describe the place correctly or you misread something and find you are not staying exactly where you want to be. Well when I booked this...

Love, Love, Love the Candle Light inn!! The room was large, updated, and very clean. It felt more like staying at a B&B, breakfast brought to our door every morning with a newspaper. There was always good coffee and freshly baked cookies in the lobby all day and into the evening. The staff was wonderful and anticipated our every need....

When we come to Carmel we always stay here. The location is great for walking to the shops and restaurants. Our favorite restaurant for breakfast is Katies. It's only a block and a half from here. The staff who greeted us were very friendly and helpful in meeting our needs. The room was very clean and big enough to meet...

I have stayed in Carmel on a half dozen occasions, but this is by far my favorite place to stay. The location is perfectly situated near the shops and the beach. The rooms are clean, the location is off the street and quiet, and the staff is friendly, professional and helpful. A big amenity at the Candle Light Inn is...

We are always welcomed here and are impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, the included breakfasts delivered in coolers to each room and the proximity to all of the restaurants and shops. Literally everything in downtown Carmel is within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with comfortable...

Carmel is an unique destination and primarily an upmarket second home location. The Candle Light Inn was good as a basic motel but billed as something better. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The unique feature was the fireplace (in the room) but not much use in hot weather! There was also a gas fireplace in the yard and we...

Was happy the moment we drove in! The location was close to all the restaurants and shopping. The young girl in the front office was very friendly and helpful. The room was cute and quiet, and larger than most hotel rooms, beds were comfortable! Because they don't actually serve breakfast, they give you a small choice of items, and have...
