Conveniently located to main section of village..we had our own lovely little (attached) cottage.with a sitting area and kitchenette. Breakfast was brought to our room. There's a sweet little sitting area outside and our little fog was very welcomed.. Will stay again on our next trip!

The Vagabond's House was wonderful. We loved the location, our room was so cozy, we used the gas fireplace every night. The bathroom was quite nice, very updated. The lovely breakfast delivered to our room every morning was such a treat. The staff could not have been more accomodating and helpful. Would not even think of looking for another place...

My wife and I spent a wonderful three nights here. The inn is located somewhat on the fringe of the downtown area, but within an easy walk to just about everything - e.g. 5-6 minutes to Ocean Ave. (the main street in Carmel). The rooms are arranged on two floors around a beautiful courtyard. The room we stayed in was...

This is really a beautiful little hotel in a very quiet part of Carmel. It's within walking distance of all the great shops and lovely homes. I think it's probably five blocks from the beach, maybe less. Thomas, the Innkeeper, is very helpful and I would encourage you to ask him where to eat as he has very good suggestions....

My husband and I stayed here during the Carmel Film Festival. The town was buzzing (or at least as much as a charming, quiet town can), but when you stepped into the Vagabond, you felt like you were in a different place. Super serene, beautiful, quiet and charming. The room was wonderful. AMAZING bed and linens, a fireplace and an...

We stayed at Vagabond House in mid-October and enjoyed our stay very much. This is a great place to stay in Carmel as the location allows you to walk wherever you want to go. The inn is comfortable and welcoming and quiet with lovely decor, comfy chairs, and great bedding with extra pillows and blankets in the room if you...

A very cute inn in the perfect location. We were able to walk everywhere- shopping, beach, and dinner. I love that on vacation. The room was lovely and even had a gas fireplace that we used both days. We really enjoyed the room except the bathroom was a touch small. Fine for a weekend, but it would be tough for...

It doesn't take long after moving into the Inn that you realize why it's rated No. 1. No detail is left undone. We really appreciated being able to choose our room and not being stuck in "the dog friendly room". Too often we are relegated to the worst, unrenovated rooms because we travel with a dog. For this reason alone,...

Close location to village and beach. Park the car and forget it. The property is small but lovely and quaint. I could've sat in the little courtyard all day. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Daily pre-ordered breakfast brought to the room was perfect. The wine and cheese in late afternoon was a very nice touch. Thomas and Randall were...

We had the pleasure to stay one night last July at this cozy and excellent place. Our room was Nº9, by the garden, confortable, big two beds, fireplace, kitchenette and a delightful breakfast served in our room. As we were arriving from a quite long trip, all the kind attentions and ammenities we received were highly welcomed. From our room, we enjoyed...
