I stayed at the Pelican Inn for 2 weeks this January. I booked because of the great reviews it had received, and it lived up to those reviews. First, a shout out to Nancy, the proprietor, who is a wonderful host. I had a delicious breakfast every morning, homemade by Nancy. The room I stayed in was lovely and comfortable,...

I've been staying at Pelican Cove Inn 2-3 times a year for several years now. It is great! I can't say enough about Nancy, the owner and host. She is welcoming, warm and friendly, and helpful in so many ways. Breakfasts are always tasty, and there are always freshly baked cookies on offer. Then there's the location--perfect! Only 2 blocks...

We loved our stay at Pelican Cove. It has a great location - walking distance to the beach and to the charming village of Carlsbad. Lots of great San Diego places that are a short drive away. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were really good. And Nancy was a delightful host. She provided very helpful local...

This B&B was great for my stay of 3 days. It is convenient walking distance to the village and to the beach, while close enough to the freeway for ease in traveling farther. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome, as were the homemade cookies. The host is very accommodating.

My husband and I stayed at this gorgeous place in the end of October, 2015. We loved it! We stayed in the room named, Laguna. It has windows on 3 walls so the breeze in our room was perfect. The stairs to the rooftop deck were right by our room. The owner, Nancy, could not have been more friendly and...

We stayed for just one night. Loved it. It's two short blocks from the beach, close to shops, and has only 10 guest rooms. The grounds were lovely, with lots of flowers that attracted hummingbirds and butterflies (it was September). We stayed in the cozy Balboa Room. We were in Carlsbad on Labor Day weekend and the bars and restaurants...

If you like mass processing and anonymity then booking a normal hotel room is a good choice. But if you like the coziness and warmth of home away from home, then Pelican Cove Inn, where the motto "come as a guest and go as a friend" on the lobby wall aren't just empty words, is a very good choice.

Nancy is awesome and truly understands hospitality. She went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our stay and even packed us a nice picnic basket for lunch at the beach. Great location, we were minutes from Legoland and walking distance from the beach and village.

Our second time at this B&B and it was as good as the first. We stayed for five nights in the Laguna Room. The breakfasts were tasty as usual. Nancy is full of recommendations on the surrounding restaurants and area. We really like the fact we could borrow umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach. We will definitely return.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The innkeeper is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Every breakfast we had was absolutely wonderful. Location is perfect. You can literally walk to downtown Carlsbad, yet the Inn is located in a very quiet neighborhood. Carlsbad Beach is only a few blocks away. Our room was very quaint, yet spacious....
