The pros: Its cheap and the owner/staff are really nice and friendly The cons: You are in the middle of nowhere and it can be incredibly frustrating. They offer shuttles between 8 am - 9 am to get to the slopes and that is literally it. If you miss it you are SOL. They have listed on the wall that...

We stayed for a night here. Max was very helpful and friendly. Answered my emails prompt. Dinner was simple but it was tasty. They also provide transport to onsen with a fee. If we do return then we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 10 days which is 10 days more than we'd wished we stayed here. Before moving here we heard several positive reviews about this youth hostel located slightly outside of annupuri. When we arrived we had troubles finding these positive aspects. To start of with the toilet situation was more than bad, it was awful. Every toilet...

The YHA very clean and feel comfort. The owners are very nice , they also planned some different onsen(hotspring) trip at every evening. I finished the Mount Yotei (Ezo Fuji) as they provide the paid shuttle service from YHA to the starting of the mountain. Would recommend to book the breakfast(which cost 600Yen) and dinner (1200yen) provided by the host,...

Max and his lovely family welcomed us in this decent hostel with a traditional tatami rooms. I decided to book this one so we can have the traditional experience of sleeping on futon beds during winter. The location is pretty far from commute and establishments but Max and his staff offers free shuttle rides upon availability. Since we went there...

I stayed in this hostel in January 2015 (this week) and had an amazing stay. The hostel owner, Max, went out of his way to help make the trip easy and enjoyable. He provided an amazing and friendly service. The rooms and facilities were also adequate and clean. My only critique was that the hostel was far away from the...
