A wonderful property located on the sides of a Himalayan river: listen to gurgling water and gaze at towering mountains from your room window, before enjoying a splendid repast complete with pani puris, pasta and Bhutanese red rice congee made by the affable Satyajit and team! A little par(o)dise in this land of happiness.

The location is unparalleled. The room sizes are awesome. The furniture tasteful. Only hitch is the AC that never seemed to work right. The restaurant was top notch with the breakfast & dinner buffet options. Satyajit the chef was very friendly and attentive to everyone’s needs. The staff too were very pleasant. Overall a great stay & would love to come back again❤️

I spent two nights at this hotel as a solo traveler. I came to Paro primarily to hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery. I am a Marriott Bonvoy status member, so I receive benefits during my stays. The hotel is located a few miles south of Paro town in an absolute beautiful, serene setting, on the main river. All rooms face the river. The hotel's location is also great to watch the few airplanes that takeoff and land at the second most challenging air approach in the world. First and foremost, staff service was outstanding, as everyone was extremely nice and very attentive during each and every interaction. Honestly, though, I downgraded my overall TA rating because at times, I'm sorry to say, the attentiveness was too much for me. I never thought I would ever say such a thing. But really, at times, it was just too intrusive and repetitive. One employee also asked me to include his name in the survey I would receive...I dislike that. I love great service; it just needs to be balanced, and unfortunately, it wasn't at this hotel. I had the same experience at the Le Meridien in Thimphu days earlier. The room I was assigned represented an upgrade to a 1-bedroom, 2-living room suite. It was huge, with absolutely great views from six large windows. It also was nicely designed, clean, and well-appointed. The shower had great water pressure, and the water was hot. The bed and linens were great. However, some of the lights didn't work. It was also very quiet until about 5:45 a.m., when I awoke to the sound of a machine running near the bathroom area. Later, an employee stated it was some sort of water system. Not good. The hotel doesn't have a dedicated Club Lounge, but offers a happy hour in the bar, with a menu of lite bites/drinks to Bonvoy status members. However, there really isn't a full-service bar at this hotel, which is surprising for a hotel of this caliber; rather, it's more of a coffee stand that serves cocktails, too, in the main lobby. Overall, the food in the hotel was good, and the breakfast buffet was comprehensive, catering to most cuisines (Asian, Indian, and Western). However, I had several bad experiences regarding food: the bowl of nuts served to me in the lobby bar had a metal staple in it, which I ate, but didn't swallow. The chicken breast I ordered in the restaurant wasn't fully cooked, as it was red/bloody in the middle. And, the subsequent pasta dish I ordered had basil stems in it. Poor attention to detail in my opinion, particularly for this type of hotel. Both the chef and the hotel manager didn't seem too concerned about any of these issues when I brought it to their attention. These issues lowered my overall TA rating. The hotel maintains a pretty nice gym, which allowed me to get a full-body workout. It overlooks the river, and a large enclosed pool is next to it. I also had a good massage in the spa.

Located in a short distance from Paro Airport Le Meridien Paro is nestled beside the river with breathtaking views of the mountains and with a lush landscape surrounding the hotel. It definitely was a pleasant and a lovely stay. The spa experience was so invigoratingly refreshing to our tired and exhausted bodies at the end of the day.We enjoyed the food so much with a variety of dishes suitable to our palate. A special mention of Chef Satyajeet Mondel who was so warmly hospitable. He ensured to meet all our requests as we wanted to taste the local cuisines and he also shared great insights into the local culture and cuisines. We noticed he was interacting with all the guests with a personal touch that would have made them feel cared for. Kudos to him and his team who made our stay more memorable.

The stay at Le Meridien Paro was memorable because of the exceptional guest service and comfort. The hotel was beautifully sited next to a river and the large hotel garden was delightfully bursting with colours of the spring. The room was spacious and comfortable, everything you would expect from a five-star hotel. What made Le Meridien Paro stand out from the other hotels was the staff. Special mention for a F&B staff by the name of Tashi Tobgay. He provided a wonderful experience during my stay. He was attentive and helpful, and he shared insights about Bhutan. We engaged in meaningful conversations and not just small talks. Tashi really went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.
