Excellent hotel in Paro, and very close to the airport. Ask for a room at the top of the property for stunning views over the valley and of the fortress which is lit up at nighttime. Nice clean and simple bathrooms. Very lovely and friendly staff. Would highly recommend a visit to this hotel.

....... but this hotel fails to understand the needs of western travelers. We were booked in for 2 nights and given a wonderful, spacious room at the very top of the resort. So far, in fact, that our driver gave us a lift! Amazing views of the valley and the Himalayan range. Views which change with the light and clouds....

The property is organised like a resort, with rooms set apart. And since the resort is on a hill-side there are many many steps to climb to get to the rooms. It can be a bit inconvenient if its raining. We were greeted by a brown-out and the staff had to scramble to arrange for candles and emergency lights. But...

Beautiful hotel overlooking the Paro International airport. Views were amazing, as was the food. My room was large, with a balcony looking to the the town & mountains. The bathroom was overly spacious. Sunset & sunrise views were spectacular. After sunset the lights of the Rinpung Dzong shine like beacons on the hillside.

We checked in only to find electricity had never been turned on to the new building we were scheduled to stay in. It's cold and we found the situation unbearable. We've had s great trip to Bhutan and this was really a spoiler. Also went shopping in town and prices were much higher than other tourist spots in Bhutan -...

Needs to address its power supply issues urgently - frequent outages for about 15-20 mins each of the two nights I was there. Service is prompt but leaves an impression of the place being understaffed. Free WiFi works only in the room. Plus points? Spacious rooms. Decent Indian-style meals. Short drive from (and good view of) Paro's serene little airport....

This is by far my favourite hotel in Bhutan. The rooms are big and modern and the view...really cannot beat that anywhere. My only problem was that we were out of electricity for a couple of hours on my first day of check in and no cable connection. But these were small issues that were quickly resolved in a couple...

Khangkhu Resort is a resort full of staircase as this resort is built on hill side and on different level. There is a problem walking to the dinning area and lobby when it is raining and during a power failure when darkness fall. Make sure when you check into the room , find out where is the emergency light, so...

We moved to this hotel having checked out without staying at the Gangtey Palace ( horrendous!). The hotel is still been constructed, the room are modern with amazing views. Yes I could pick faults with the hotel but you have to remember this is Bhutan. For this grade I think the Khangkhu Resort is a great choice to stay in...
