I stayed here in February with my wife and 15 year old son and had a great time. The grounds are beautiful and so was our room. We stayed in the upper level rooms, which had a great view of the surrounding area. We enjoyed having Henry as our waiter and part-time Spanish teacher and Oscar was a great guide....

I had a good stay at Rinconcito Lodge, but I can understand the mixed reviews it has gotten here. It may be a little too rustic for everyone's tastes. Our room was quite rustic and basic. It was clean and everything functioned Yes, there was no hot water, but the bracing shower wasn't really unpleasant after a day in the...

We stayed here 5 nights. This lodge is considered budget by the Lonely Planet guide so we were not expecting luxury. Our room and all the areas were very clean and well kept up, if a bit worn. Our "standard" room was big and had everything that we needed including drawers, small closet and plenty of places to put toiletries....

I would not go back to Rinconcito Lodge nor recommend anyone to stay there in spite of its beautiful location in the middle of nowhere. Our room was big but rather stuffy. The shower did not work and there were cockroaches in the room. Other people in our group of 12 had similar problems in their rooms. After having checked...

Upon arrival we were welcomed in a very unfriendly manner. Though we had made a reservation 6 month in advance they had given our room to others. Bad luck, he turned around and made us feel wrong. When I told the guy I would report this on tripadvisor, he became a bit more helpful and made a few calls. He...

we stayed here two nights. They are very relaxed and helpfull. The cabinas are in a garden with walking possibilities. It s very well signposted exept for the gate where there is no sign. The restaurant serves up decent food although it gets somewhat boring with just four options for lunch and dinner. They can make you a sandwich on...

This is so far out of the way, we needed to go back 5 kilometers to get to the park. Down dusty rocky roads to get to a room that I can only imagine is good for a county lock up. The "furniture in the room was two folding chairs, an awfully uncomfortable double bed( small with no box springs)...

The location next to the Rincon National Park is great (although the road to the lodge is really bumpy). There is a private trail around the lodge, which we enjoyed on our first afternoon. Choose the beefsteak for dinner, it is great! We had a room on the top of the hill. It was clean and nice, although not fully...

Set on a west-facing wooded hillside on the flanks of Rincon volcano, the cabins and central reception/restaurant lie in well-manicured gardens and lawns with a magnificent view of the lovely surrounding countryside. The cabins themselves are comfortable and more than adequate, although good reading lights are needed! Great to chill out on the individual verandas or in the hammocks under...

The lodge has an enchanting setting with lush greenery and very pretty landscaping dotted with a gazebo and a couple of hammocks. We stayed in the more expensive, Standard room, which was very nice and spacious with a full bed and two single beds on either side. The bathroom looked renovated and had a large wonderful hot shower. We also...
