Me and my parents stayed here for three nights to visit the two parks of Rincón de la Vieja. It's a great option as it is close to the two park entrances. The rooms are very nice and clean and it was a great experience to stay in the middle of the nature. The hotel area is very nice with...

Friendly and comfortable lodge, only 25 km from Liberia. Worth staying 2 nights so you can explore the trails, go birdwatching etc. Rooms are cabins scattered round the garden, nice views. They offer quite good food from a limited menu. Did a good packed lunch for us so we could walk all day. We took a taxi to the Las...

The lodge is very secluded which was nice since we came here for the nature anyway. It is located close to the rincon de la vieja park. The room we had was small and basic. The bed was small for two of us to fit and the bed sheet did not fit so we were basically sleeping directly on the...

We stayed here for two nights to visit the park. Our plan was to drive our 4x4 to the park which is 3.5km drive. Upon arrival we were greated by the receptionist. Whom told us the one entrance to the park was closed on Monday's but the entrance to the ranger station closest to the hotel was open. I told...

We were supposed to stay here for 4 nights and cut it to 2. The area is expensive due to the national park, however I am sure you can find better than this. It's a shame, it has a lovely pool and the grounds are nice, however everything else needs a lot of improvement. The rooms are a decent size...

We spent 2 nights at Rinconcito Lodge early January 2015, and over-all had a nice and comfortable stay. The rooms are great - very spacious and clean, each with a pair of rocking chairs to sit outside and enjoy a nice view down the hill. Water is hot, so do not fear to get muddy and sweaty on your hikes!...

I agree with everything the last reviewer wrote. It is a little rustic and a whole lot cheaper than comparable spots. A delightful young man named Geraldo is managing what was originally his grandfather's ranch which is now a working ranch as well as a lodge. I just spent four. days at the lodge and was quite impressed. I would...

My husband and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon for 5 days in December and decided to stay at the Rinconcito Lodge. The location is very beautiful and is a great place to "unplug." We didn't have any cell phone service and the wifi is intermittent and is only available in the dining area. Our room was rustic;...

We were there the past 2 days. Absolutely beautiful. Fine staff and many activities! We knew we were not booking a glossy hotel. That is what's perfect about Rinconcito. We saw Toucans, Howlers, armadillos . The horseback riding was wonderful We will return.

I assume people come to this area to visit the Rincon de la vieja National Park, which was why we stayed there. Rinconcito Lodge is located near the Las Pailas entrance of the park & also the Rio Negro hot spring pools & the canopy tour/zip line tour that the lodge also offered. The place was beautiful, quiet, & serene....
