The hotel was okay. Clean, simple rooms, no A/C. Staff were kind and friendly, but a day after we checked out, we noticed a charge on our credit card for $160 that we had not incurred. We called the lodge to ask about it, and we were told to call back later. We called again, and we were told they...

The rooms are nice - very spacious and clean with a pair of rocking chairs to sit outside under the covered deck and enjoy a nice view of the lovely gardens. Nice pool for the kids with lounge chairs around for relaxing. There was no hot water for the shower - not sure why. This was the only place we...

This is a a rustic lodge style hotel with beautiful grounds. The rooms are spartan without AC but with nice porches with hammocks. Be prepared for bugs and waking up early, the roofs like many hotels in Costa Rica are metal so a rain storm will be very loud. The restaurant and all the costs were the cheapest of anywhere...

We spent 3 nights at Rinconcito to be able to visit the volcano and enjoy the calm of the area. The hotel had a pool and a restaurant, and was situated about 30 minutes by car to the volcano entrance. The food was good, although since the hotel was not very busy, the menu was quite limited. We had the...

Friends told us about Rinconcito Lodge but given our experiences to date in Costa Rica, we weren't sure what to expect other than a cold shower and overpriced everything. Luckily, Rinconcito Lodge defied all expectations - a charming hotel set off an almost main street by the Rincon de la Vieja National Park, we loved everything about it. Our room...

This was our first stop on a cross country adventure. This quaint little lodge was perfect. The staff (including the pups and cat) was very welcoming. We truly enjoyed the stay and look forward to the next time.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was also nice with a great shower. We used this place just to relax and it is a great place to relax. The balcony had nice views with a set of rocking chairs to sit in. The breakfast was...

We enjoyed our stay very much, spacious clean room, comfortable beds with amazing views. Loved hanging out in the hammock in the evenings watching the sunsets with visits from the dogs and cat. The pool and gardens are very nice. The restaurant was ok. Great location for easy access to the park entrances. The room could really use a fridge...

I stayed here for two nights, with a small group of people. This lodge is quiet and beautiful, you are in the middle of a jungle. The pool was nice. The food was good and the staff was very helpful. Some rooms had hammocks on the porch.

My husband and I stayed here 10 years ago with our then 'tween daughter. It was amazing! We rode horseback, hiked the nearby steaming pots and national park and generally had a great time! When our daughter wanted to return to Costa Rica last summer for an adventure ALONE to assert her independence, we recommended this location. Not only did...
