I stayed here 17 years ago and not much has changed in that time except for the bed covers. This is an old fashioned comfortable hotel, great position to get to Hearst castle, great position for walks down the beach and easy to walk into town for dinner. Room is large, had one of the cabins done the end. Breakfast...

We stayed 2 nights here. Staff extremely helpful, even made dinner reservations for us. Stayed in room with "peek of ocean". It was clean, quiet, but VERY outdated. Bathroom cabinet paint was worn to the wood and wallpaper must be from the 50's! Were not made aware that the pool is closed for renovations before we arrived. Offered pool at...

Stayed here one night to break up the drive between the wine country and Santa Barbara, after having visited the area a number of years ago and having stayed in a charming B&B in town. This however (at least from the outside) was the least charming of the many lodging options along Moonstone Beach Drive, and across the street from...

We loved this place! It's quaint and has old world charm. The staff were very helpful and friendly..the location is perfect .. We went for long walks, kids loved exploring the area and for the artists in my group it was a treat! Continental Buffet was good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Kids feasted on the cookies and we loved...

I will start by stating that I will never stay here again. There are other options down the road that are not only a bit more updated, but better positioned to the ocean and even that much closer to the town of Cambria. I'd try anywhere else but here. For the prices they charge, it is an absolute rip off....

Spent three nights at this resort and had a relaxing, enjoyable time. The big pluses are the location, quietness, and less expensive than many Moonstone hotels. It is old fashioned and some people may be put off by that but I think it keeps the cost down and adds to a woodsy charm. Our unit was clean, large, and had...

I have stayed at San Simeon Pines before and liked the set up. However this last visit was different. When we booked 2 rooms, we requested them to be next to each other. We arrives and one room was down stairs and the other was upstairs at the other end. We asked for another room and they said they were...

I got the King Bed Deluxe room (booked through their website directly) and it was pretty perfect. The room was clean and the fireplace was nice to have after driving around Cambria and Paso Robles all day. Heads up: flushing the toilet while your partner's in the shower will blast them with burning hot water.

Spent one night here as I traveled down the Pacific Coast Highway. Exceptionally nice reception staff, quick check-in and some great advice about local restaurants. My room was pretty worn and in need of some updating but it was large and clean and had a refrigerator, no coffee pot. The bathroom shower faucet needed repair which resulted in a shower...

From Heather's wonderful help with our "challenging" reservations, to our alteration the next day. After thirty years, it's still our most desirable place to go! Jim Gaut Seaside Ca.
