In driving up Highway 1, there are a plethora of places to stay. We stumbled on the FogCatcher Inn by chance - but loved our one night here. Probably the warmest welcome I have ever received at a reception desk was from Katherine. Akin to Mum welcoming her kids back from a long days hike, we were greeted with home... More

After reading your wonderful review, I had to take a walk on the boardwalk myself to enjoy all the nature you described. What a great review you gave us. There is nothing better the falling to sleep with the ocean waves breKing on the shore line. That a great symphony. We had the best stay at the FogCatcher Inn. Would recommend to the most finicky traveler

You are correct, the ocean breaking on the shore directly across the street from the FogCatcher Inn makes the best lullaby. I can not think of a better way relax and get some sleep than having the window open a bit and letting the sounds of nature lull you to sleep. Thank you for your review. We hope to see... More

My husband and I recently were visited by friends from Indiana. They needed to get away from the cold and we wanted to show them the Coast of California. Ou first stop was FogCatcher Inn. Our family of 5 stayed in their well appointed, comfortable and cozy Family Suite. It's a lovely Oceanside Inn. Friendly staff. Clean and quaint. We walked across to the beach a few times...played in surf and sand and fed the squirrels. I would rec this inn to all. Wished we stayed more than a night.

We normally visit Cambria about 3-4 times a year and our last visit was just about a week ago and once again, what a great place to stay at, we make it point to stay at The FogCatcher Inn because we have stayed at many of the other inns and hotels on Moonstone Beach Drive but as the saying goes,... Everything was amazing as always!!! We love this place! The staff is extremely attentive! We will definitely be back!!! The partial ocean view room is the best, I think. The partial view faces the ocean, it's amazing!!!!

Glad you had an "amazing" stay with us. The partial ocean view rooms are wonderfully roomy spaces that still have a great view of the water. Nothing beats a cozy fireplace and a view of the surf hitting Moonstone Beach. Thank you for your review. We can't wait to see you again. James Davison General Manager FogCatcher Inn More

Three of us stayed in a cozy room, got the fire started and were very comfortable. The name of the hotel was apt, since we arrived at dusk, just as the fog rolled in. We walked along the road ( no sidewalk) to the 2 closest restaurants - both $30 + , so we ate from our cooler. Cars came... More

We arrived in time to join the small throng of people, many with glasses in hand, lined up just across from the hotel to watch/celebrate the sunset over the ocean. So picturesque.
