Lovely inn in outstanding location - wished we'd stayed more than one night. Almost everything was perfect, including the extremely charming room with its gas fireplace, the oh-so-comfortable bed, and the well-appointed bathroom. The beach, located just across the narrow, quiet street, was perfect for strolling and beach-combing. Our only disappointment was the breakfast, which, as other reviewers have noted,...

We stayed at the FogCatcher Inn as part of our 2 week recent honeymoon. It was probably the best place we stayed at on our trip. It's situated just across from the beach and is a selection of very cute little cabins. The rooms were pretty much perfect. We didn't have a view at all but that didn't matter. The...

Our first visit to the FogCatcher Inn was in 2002 when we decided to drive down the Pacific Coast Highway with our 14 year old daughter and her friend. The journey was great, but I didn't allow for the fact that Cambria is a place to savour. We only stopped one night at the FogCatcher on that occasion, but my...

Not a lot of constructive criticism to pass on, except for the pillows which are a bit bouncy. Otherwise, there is much to be positive about. Lovely staff, fabulous location and lovely rooms. The room interiors are a lesson to other similar establishments showing that a little attention to detail goes a long way. Hopefully I will return one day...

The room did have a view of the ocean, and was immaculate. The bathroom was very impressive for a small hotel, and the toiletries were of very high quality. The bed was very comfortable. An oddity, although not an inconvenience, was that there are no ventilation ducts in the room, Heating is provided by a gas fireplace, and cooling by...

Very nice quality hotel that could be called a Motel but it has more facilities than a motel. Staff are great and helpful. Rooms are nice and comfortable as well as being very clean. I lovely fire is nice. If your going to eat out in the town 'drive' if you walk there are no side walks or street lighting....

We absolutely loved this hotel- definitely the nicest out of 14 that we stayed in on our trip. Spacious rooms, breakfast, lovely decor, molten brown toiletries in the rooms. We arrived very late and starving and the guy at the desk thoughtfully gave us complimentary cookies. All small things but it made for such a wonderful stay.

All of the staff at the FogCatcher Inn take pride in providing guests with the best experience possible. It is the special things like clean, spacious rooms, a hot breakfast & freshly baked cookies that create a special stay. We are so pleased to hear that your stay with us was just that, memorable. Made a reservation guaranteeing two side by side rooms. After sliding my credit card they told us that our two rooms were on opposite sides of the property. We are very distressed to hear of your unhappiness with the FogCatcher Inn. Right on Moonstone Beach (small road to cross) about 100 yards from the water. Clean rooms. Good breakfast (do it yourself, all you can eat). Well-managed. These folks treat visitors well. Moonstone Beach is delightful to walk. Very good restaurants close by (on the beach, or in town of Cambria). It is a quiet area.
