The Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa is an epic ode to the Great American Road Trip of the 50's, 60's, and 70's, and the spirit of exploration it evokes. Whether it's backroad wine country or a relaxing mineral bath, our backyard can be your backyard, and it's anything but ordinary. Framed by vineyards and bike trails, our stylish Mid-Century Modern digs are the perfect foundation for those looking to find their next great adventure from the perfect home base. Perfectly placed at the head of the Silverado Trail, in the heart of Californias scenic wine region, the Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa features 50 rooms and suites, two Mineral Water Pools and a Mineral Water Hot Tub, and a Full Service Spa. We at the Calistoga Motor Lodge believe that a hotel is more than a bed and that life is best lived in this order: play, soak, eat, drink, spa, explore, sleep, repeat. And with this in mind, we set-out to create something that Wine Country has never seen. Welcome to our little, laid-back home, we we embrace color in spades and you can be you. After a leisurely bike ride to one of the dozens of nearby vineyards, soak up the sun and relax in our three on-site hot spring mineral water pools, perhaps with a glass of wine from one of the bottles you purchased along during the day. As the sun climbs high, hike or bike the adjacent Oat Hill Mine Trail where breathtaking views of the Valley are around every corner. Then, pamper yourself at our MoonAcre Spa and Baths. Our mission: to serve up bliss with a dose of whimsy and relaxation without the fuss. Because after all, there’s very little that laughter and a nice rub won’t cure. The hotel is located just 40 scenic minutes north of the City of Napa and 75 scenic miles from San Francisco.

Great gals getaway! Lovely spot to share down time and fun in the sun and warm waters of Calistoga. Convenient to all Calistoga has to offer. Next time we will build time in for a bike ride! Love the mid-1900's vibe.

Camper Suite worked perfect for us and very reasonably priced for a stay in Calistoga. The basic rooms can be on the smaller size but the Camper Suites are great - two rooms which can easily sleep 2 adults and 2 children. Great experience at the Moon Acre Spa. Ask for massage

We needed a place last minute and were lucky to score 2 rooms for our family very last minute. The rooms were spacious, tidy and the decor is super fun. The hot springs were kid-friendly and my guys LOVED the pool with the giant rubber duck. I think the spirit of the hotel is

The Calistoga Motor Lodge is a super cute hotel that has been renovated in a kitschy mid century modern style. We loved the playful touches like board games and hula hoops in the room and appreciated the great location, within walking distance of downtown Calistoga. The only

When I stayed there they didn't charge a spa fee. It was through a TravelZoo promo, check through them.

We were told it was because of the snacks and beverages in refrigerator. I don't agree with charging $20 for this and feel it should just be included in the price of hotel.

Is it child friendly? I have a 5 and 3 year old.
Hi Hopeamy, We are the ideal spot for a getaway with the kids. If you are looking to take them swimming, our three on site mineral water pools are a great place for some fun in the sun. Our wading pool is ideal for children- the temperature ranges from 90-95 degrees and is 2 1/2 feet deep. You are more than welcome to have a picnic by the pool. Our King suites are most comfortable for families. We do offer complimentary cribs for small children. as well. All of our rooms offer in room refrigerators and complimentary wifi. Pioneer park is within walking distance from the hotel and offers a cool playground for the little ones. Feel free to call us if we can help with planning your trip! Hope to see you soon. Ryan

Is breakfast included with all rooms in this hotel? Thanks, Maria
The breakfast place was always out of bagels super early! I don't believe they have bagels, which means you pay more for breakfast.

"If needing a more accessible walkway, I'd choose near the hotel office for now, due to construction"
"Likel rooms farthest from hot springs are a good idea, although even on a Saturday night things wound down by 11p."
"Rooms on the back of the property face an open field and the pools; the front side faces a busy road."
"Rooms in back are quieter. Camper Suites are large and have more windows."
"Motel Style, I would book the rooms on the inside facing the pool and courtyard"
