If you have the change, find yourself some other accommodation in Kersik Tua. Noone speaks English and communication is dificult. Owners are unfriendly. Rooms are basic (quite clean though) and overpriced and you have to pay for everything "extra" you ask for. By "extra" I mean a hot shower and also coffee (instead of tea) for breakfast (which is the...

We arrived in Kersik Tuo in the afternoon, without reservation. We walked to Family Homestay and asked for a room there. The woman who was there could not speak english put us on the phone with Endatno Een. We explained our request and afterwards we had a room at Family homestay (170.000idr). So far, so good. Although the rest of...

i reserve for 2 rooms and confirmed thru phone conversation; 3 weeks before our arrival. I reconfirmed my reservation, and received a text message that the reservation is confirmed. When we get there, after 7 hours driving, there's no room available - and the receptionist did not have my name on the record. They even say that I might call...

The reason we chose this homestay was Een who was to be our guide for our trek up Mt. Kerinci and Gunung Tujuh. We were quite a large group(19 people) and Een made our stay very comfortable by taking care of our every need. Een is one of the most popular guides for the trek and has a good safety...

The place itself is quite ok for the money you pay in Indonesia. Rooms are large and there's even hot water for 150.000 that you pay daily. Sometimes there are difficulties with hot water and power, but it's more of an infrastructure problem than something you can claim for management. The main reason to come here is Een (Kerinci area...

We stayed in Homestay Family for 4 days during our recent trip to Kerinci Seblat National Park. This area does not receive many tourists and the accommodation options are not well known, so we would share our positive experience in one of the few homestays in the village of Kersik Tua. The village of Kersik Tua is the jumping off...

See which rooms travellers prefer

“Take a room inside the main homestay if you prefer the warmer area and if you are travelling with kids, the room outside is chill and windy. Call the owner for reservation, because they only have 8 rooms and sometime a family travelling in a group might booked them all on the week end.”
