Me and my parents visited the place from 30th June (Check in) to 2nd July(Check out). We had a fantastic stay at this place. The hotel is situated in the Aru, a small village situated around 15km away from the town of Pahalgam. The road from Pahalgam to Aru runs along the Lidder river on the hills covered with Pine... The locale and surroundings are amazing. . .Switzetland ka Baap! We thus did not spend much time at the Hotel. Rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. Food is excellent and homely. Would have appreciated if the Hotel could have set up a bonfire as other properties were doing. Would certainly recommend stay in Aru Valley over Pahalgam should you be... More

I think it is the most decent hotel in the area. I could not see any other to match. The rooms on first floor give a good view. The food is homely, and non-veg preparation was good. Do not give clothes for washing because you may get back the clothes without being ironed.

I personally booked this hotel for my family , and was hoping they will like it too. We reached in the night around 10pm, the roads were so dark and there was absolutely no network in this area. My mother became furious but what was waiting for us made it all worth while. We were warmly welcomed by kashmiri kawas... More

Visiting Aru valley and staying at Milky Way hotel from 6/6/16-8/6/16 was the high point of our trip to Kashmir! The warmth and personal touch with which the entire team at the hotel- Fayaz, Bilal, Shaukat and others attended us and others too was absolutely overwhelming. We were welcomed with the well known Kasmiri drink - Kehwa! We were given... More

Aru Valley is a real kashmir. Nice people nice place. Less crowd. Bilal bhai, owner of hotel milkyway is a gem of a person. He makes sure you are at home rather than at hotel. Food, service, hospitality, location, staff everything is excellent. A guy name shaukat is very obedient. You ask him anything to him he would never say... More

Bilal bhai had guaranteed at the time of booking that the place will meet the expectation else he will arrange for... More

My review is a bit late, so sorry about that Bilaal Bhai. My only negative point about the hotel was that the rooms were a tad too small, and the bathroom didnt have a dedicated wet area. But the sheer warmth of the owners of the hotel made up for such shortcomings, because if you want perfect touristy surroundings you... More

Hotel milkyway is a paragon of kashmiri innocence and hospitality in the sleepy village of Aru. As you leave behind the pahalgam and head up the hill you feel less like a tourist and more like a traveller. And the welcoming smiles of the staff at milky way and a hot cup of kehwa later, you would feel less like... More
