We were on our way to Mendocino, and having flown in to SFO from Colorado that morning, we decided to split our trip. I went on line to find a hotel in the middle of that road trip, and we ended up at the Inn at the Tides. The room was very comfortable, although it was clearly not updated recently...

This is an older hotel with a variety of buildings, some two-unit ground floor only, others multi-unit two story. We hadn't been there in about 10 years, and were pleased with upgrades in our room (new insulated windows, bathroom with very large walk-in shower). Also nice to see that the grounds are still being well maintained, as are the very...

Despite the deferred maintenance items so evident in guest rooms - loose electrical outlets, sink stopper not working, air leaks around window frames with broken locks, fireplace screens disfigured from long overuse - this Inn remains a lovely restful haven on a sloping forested rocky hillside, overlooking the Bay, with long views of the blue Pacific. The front desk staff...

Very relaxing stay - - this place is laid back and has a very casual, unpretentious feel. Since it is an older property there are a few signs of wear but nothing terribly distracting. Our room was spacious and had a nice outdoor sitting looking down to the water. We enjoyed our stay. A complimentary breakfast is served at the restaurant...

Stayed here for a couple nights and it was decent. Could use some upgrades on the rooms and structural end of things, for instance it takes about 7 tries to get the door to open with the key and so much a problem that they have a demo lock at check in to show you how to "jimmy it" open....

I have stayed at the Inn at the Tides three times. The first time was fantastic back in the 90's. My most recent visit, in May of 2017 was very disappointing. Here's why. My son and I were camping near by in the mountains, after several nights we decided that a hot shower an soft beds would be awesome. I...

An older hotel, this one's seems like it was a class act in it's time. It's still classy. It's just that some things are getting old, like we needed help learning the trick to open the door lock, or the window had trouble opening. When we had trouble with Wi-Fi, someone was sent over to fix it and then we...

My father ran the Bodega Bay Lodge for years and we visited often, the rates now are so high so we decided to take our 4 kids to the Tides, which we have never stayed before. The rate was under $200 during spring break, but so much was included, what a great price for all we got! Room was incredible,...

Rooms are spacious, clean and -surprise= included a complimentary bottle of wine :-) making our time there even a bit better. It is located directly across from waterfront, so you can eat your breakfast and stop to take photos of visiting birds from seat in front of the wall of windows at the restaurant a short walk away (100 yards)....
