We went up to Big Bear for the day, but we knew that their would be no hotels available, But Vicki wasnt feeling great so I thought I would check a place and just as I walked in the Fireside Lodge someone was on the phone with a customer that was cancelling that night, So Lucky us we got a...

We stayed here a year ago and really liked it. However, our friends also stayed and hated it. We had a jacuzzi suit lake view. When we walked in it was wonderful! There was a fireplace by the jacuzzi tub and in the bedroom! Super romantic. So this time I called to make a reservation to make sure we could...

The jacuzzi rooms are awesome and romantic. Super clean with fireplace and kitchen area. The lodge is perfectly located next to the lake. It is walking distance to the marina, The Village, and restaurants. At check in we received coupon for kayaking 15% off. We will definitely be visiting again. Upon check out, you receive a $50 coupon for your...

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend on a very last minute trip. When we arrived, the room they had reserved for us was teeny tiny and the carpet was downright filthy. We had our two small children with us, I couldn't fathom my little one crawling around on the floor. I went to the office and complained, and they let...

I should start by telling you that I am a hotel snob. I am VERY picky about hotels. But, my daughter planned a trip to Big Bear and she was on a budget, and insisted she pay for the hotel. So... I was concerned that we were staying in a "budget" hotel, but resigned myself that, as long as it...

The staff are very kind at this motel that's been branded a "lodge." Check-in was fast & easy. The rooms are relatively comfortable with a hot tub, fireplace, and kitchenette in the room. The bed was soft but comfortable and had all non-feather pillows (allergy sufferers thank you!). There was a power outlet only on one side of the bed--not...

We stayed in room 4 which is a suite with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Upon entering, we saw a half empty big gulp soda container on the counter. The kitchen, rooms and bathrooms were nice. We were told upon check in that there was a continental breakfast in the morning but when we went at 7:30am, the doors...

This hotel is overpriced. There was no wifi as advertised. There were ants in the kitchen and no maid service to deal with them. When calling in to the front desk about no wifi, the office personnel was rude and hung up on me. I will not stay at this hotel again.

"Lodge" sounds a bit more romantic than it really is. More like a motel, but with really dopey names on the rooms, like Snuggly Bear room, or the Double Trouble Bear suite. Lakeside isn't really lakeside but you can see Big Bear Lake from second floor balcony in between the houses that are indeed lakeside. The community map & advertising...

First time staying at this very nice, quiet lodge. We stayed in the Chalet #19, which is on the end, up a short flight of stairs. There is a photo of it on this website. We were surprised to find a partial view of the lake from the living room and it's an easy walk to the village shops and...
