We stayed overnight at Tudhoe House as we were taking our daughter back to Durham University and everything in Durham was booked up. We were very glad we did not get into a standard hotel in Durham because we had such a lovely time at Tudhoe House, which was only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Durham. We...

We have stayed in other Wolsey Lodges but none has surpassed this. The room was perfect , The welcome from Dawn and Peter was warm and genuine, we stayed three nights, ate three superb suppers with excellent wines and the breakfasts were just as good (without wine!) We visited Durham (every bit as lovely as I thought), Dunstanburgh Castle, Lindisfarne,...

We expected a certain standard from a Wolsey Lodge B&B, but Tudhoe House exceeded all our expectations in every way. Wonderful welcome from Dawn and Peter, luxurious bedroom with extra touches that you do not get in a hotel. Linen and towels of the highest quality. Dawn is an excellent cook and we shared a couple of delicious evening meals...

We wanted to come and explore the area and looked for the nearest Wolsey Lodge. Tudhoe House is in the small village of Tudhoe just outside Durham, and Dawn and Peter are just the best of hosts. The welcome was genuinely warm, we were given tea, and then drinks, and a superb 4 course dinner for £30 a head -...

We stayed for a night en route home to Edinburgh and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be. Dawn and Peter were wonderful hosts and we had an excellent dinner with them. The bedroom was excellent with beams on the ceiling but with a modern bathroom and quiet. One of the nicest B & B's we have had...

We stayed for one night on 14th June. It was excellent in every way. The house itself is most attractive, set in a lovely garden and furnished very comfortably with fine antiques. Dawn and Peter were delightful hosts and could not have been more helpful. We were served a very good supper and breakfast the following morning. When we told...
