Tiny room, relatively inexpensive, good location for business downtown/on campus. I was here for a conference at UCB so it was ideal. I had several friends visit me from SF over the weekend who walked to the hotel from a nearby train stop.

The rooms are simple and plain. But they have all the basics: fridge, microwave, HBO and wi fi. Free parking, and only a few blocks from North Berkeley BART. Plan to take a meal next door at Leila's cafe; and don't sit in the appealing window facing the street, but get a seat inside facing the private garden, while you...

We got to the hotel after dark and it was hard to tell what kind of an area we were in. It looked a little sketchy. In the light of the day the neighborhood is ok. It's definitely mixed with a few boutique businesses and auto repair shops. There is a cute cafe two doors down that I wish the...

Though the rooms are a little tight, they are clean and worthy of the low weekend rates. Parking is limited especially in the evenings but the Inn is only about 6 blocks from the North Berkeley BART station. The neighborhood is quiet and there are plenty of food options within a 2 block radius.

I was perhaps more fortunate than the other reviewers and found the place to be well worth it's moderate price tag. My only problem was that the wifi was drudgingly slow or dysfunctional; I suggest visiting the downtown AT&T store to get 4g instead. There's cafés and other amenities near the inn and a bus stop two blocks away which...

Stayed for over week at this place thanks to a work trip. Have to admit this place has been somewhat upgraded from what it must have been like. Room is small with adjoined bathroom. Parking is available. Very noisy from the traffic and also trains(!). Cheap relative to other places in the neighborhood. Very nice little cafe around the corner.

I need to start reading reviews. This place literally scared me. The most haunting part is that their was no elevator and my knee was bothering me. There was this door under the stairs, very strange place to put a door. I had all these creepy thoughts about the door. I'm sure I would have been unaffected in most cases...

No respect for clients. This place might be cheaper than other places but ur getting treated horribly to stay here. DO NOT go here unless u...

The Berkeley Inn was moderately priced and in a great location- right off the interstate & minutes away from the University and cheap places to eat. The management wasn't super friendly, but we didn't have to interact with them except for checking in and out. The sheets were clean and the place was overall sanitary, but the walls & carpet...

This place was terrible. The hotel clerk was RUDE not only to me and my friend, but even the customers in front of us. We spent at least 10 minutes arguing, before we reached an agreement. The hotel clerk was demanding, and he didn't understand our simple requests. I am willing to pay an extra $40-50 to spend a night...
