It all starts when you have to take a turn onto a gravel road for Biedouw Valley. Immediately, with caution, you embark off the beaten track - literally. At that point, your signal cancels out and you're left to believe that you're on a right track. FYI ensure you are driving in a vehicle that can handle this kind of...

One of the best camping experiences of my life. From the kindness and hospitality of Andrea to the incredible facilities and pure natural beauty of the farm and area. I can't wait to go back and unwind, gaze at the night sky and enjoy the amazing swimming pool and hot tub.

we keep coming back here every visit to the Western Cape.....this is definitely wilderness territory...the only sounds are of the earth itself, some sheep in the distance and a neigh or gallop or two from the two farm horses who wander around freely.....(for cat lovers there are a few ginger cats about who may pay a visit) as well as...

We camp here for 2 nights during the September school holidays. What a wonderful place off the beaten track. Lovely hiking trips to go on, large dam to swim in and amazing star gazing. There is also a honestly shop that sells drinks and home made confectioneries.

For my 53'd birthday I decided to treat my doggie and my partner to a Cederberg trip. This must be one of the most peaceful places in SA. Tessa welcomed me, showed me a fridge with drinks and also some other items which one could buy before going to your cottage. She explained that you take what you need, write...

We spent a night here during a trip through the northern reached of the Cederberg. We stayed in the Lonely Planet hut, a basic chalet set in a small valley, kilometers away from the nearest habitation. We really loved the remoteness of it, not to mention the peace and tranquility it provided. The hut itself was small and basic but...

This is definitely the getaway you want to take away from city life and the busyness that comes with it. Enjo is nestled away in the Cederberg mountains with no phone reception and only nature to take in. We went as 4 friends and the dog, each staying in their own cottage (self catering). We went for a hike and...

I went there with three other families. Three families camped and one stayed in the Annex. We were blessed with perfect weather in the middle of winter. The kids had a blast and we had a really relaxing quiet stay with plenty of time in the river, swimming pool and in the dam. The flowers were fantastic. There is a...

We stayed in the Lonely Planet cottage. Yes it's secluded, yes it's very quiet. If you plan to visit, make sure you take your own bedding. If you need hot water, do not visit in winter when it's rainy and overcast as the solar geyser is a white elephant then. We were disgusted to find the place in such a...

Hallo Titleistss, I am very sorry to hear that you found the Cottage unclean. The Lonely Planet Cottage is the only Cottage on our farm where you get a basket with fresh linen and towels as well as cleaning supplies on arrival and guests are requested to clean the cottage when they check out. This is due to the remoteness...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Enjo Nature Farm is situated far from the main tourist tracks, within the unspoilt Biedouw Valley of the Cederberg mountains. The valley is known for its magnificent spring flowers from July till September and incredibly beautiful landscape. Enjoy the quiet beauty and millions of stars at night. There are also wonderful hiking trails on the farm to the Enjo Amphitheatre and to the spring which feeds our drinking water and a stunning swimming dam with wooden decks and sunbeds. Choose between exploring the area on your mountain bike or motorbike. A natural dam is also on our farm with paddle skis and a canoe. Close by you will find the Wupperthal Missionary Village with its hand-made shoe factory and rooibos tea shop, while a visit to the Sevilla rock art trail with its rock paintings and caves is a must. On Enjo Nature Farm you will find relaxing accommodation next to the river and enjoy complete privacy and great views of the Paardeberg mountains. The farm offers different accommodation options, from self-catering chalets to camping. Each self-catering chalet boasts great views, an indoor fireplace, a barbecue area and some have their very own jacuzzi. Our Lonely Planet Cottage is a special one as its positioned very remote and runs with Solar and Gas instead of Eskom. Due to its remoteness we do not clean it in between every booking and expect you to leave it as you find it. On arrival you are given a basket with bedding and all you need which you return with your check out. We have three nice camp sites with braai facilities, water and electricity points. There is a nice hot water ablution block and dish washing facility. Because the farm has been a sheep and goat farm for almost 200 years we decided to continue this tradition and started farming with the wild sheep breed called Damara. Every sheep has its own looks and colours. Some examples you will find in our padding zoo for kids during lambing season. We also started farming with a succulent plant called Hoodia. While the San bushmen used to eat that plant to survive in the desert it is now used as a appetite suppressant. The Hoodia is indigenous in the Biedouw Valley. The main farm house still has its original cedar wood doors and yellow wood ceilings. The one meter thick walls out of stone and clay where made to last forever. ... more   less
