If there was ever a paradise on earth then this surely has to be it!
This resort is absolutely stunning from its location right on the edge of an aquamarine lagoon to the whole ambiance, professional service & friendliness of every single member of staff. Words cannot express our thanks enough.
They knew our individual names within an hour of arriving here and never forgot them!

From the minute we stepped off the plane on Aitutaki to be greeted by fresh floral leis,to our beautiful room by the edge of the crystal clear lagoon complete with private balcony.
Our room was spotless & complete with our every need: from fridge, a regularly replenished supply of fresh drinking water to iron , ironing board & a speedy hotel laundry service completed within just a few hours!
Food & beverage was “ to die for” from a tropical breakfast every morning to stunning dinners. Special mention of my new favourite island dish - Ika Mata- the national dish of the Cook Islands. Also the varied cocktails prepared by Fijian barman Joe whose service & friendliness warrants a special mention.
My husband & I enjoyed thee best ever massages: “ Indulgence Massages” at the Tiara Spa with 2 therapists working together to provide a reinvigorating hour . Point of note though- don’t choose this particular massage if you prefer a gentle treatment as quite deep firm massage techniques are used.

Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff to see to throughout this resort, their only desire being to give 5 star service to their guests, and believe me they did just that!
If it wasn’t so far away from our home in Scotland we would return several times per year though it is already on our “ must return” list.
Thank you to every single member of staff at the resort who made our stay a luxury experience we will never forget.
“Kia Orana” to you all.

My only tip: bring mosquito repellent though hotel does supply mosquito coils in every room!

The best resort on Aitutaki! Excellent location with amazing views from our beach villa. All of the staff were genuinely happy for us to be there--kind and welcoming. Breakfast was included with very generous portions and delicious food and fresh fruits daily. We ate dinner there every night--fresh ingredients, great value. Although this is considered the low/rainy season, we were really lucky with the weather, it was sunny and hot every day. I highly recommend the Lagoon tour with Bishop--excellent snorkeling and beautiful motus to explore, plus lunch on the beach! The snorkeling in front of our room was great also. Snorkel gear provided (we brought own own), bikes, kayaks, reef shoes and stand up paddle boards also provided by the resort. The most reliable Wi-fi on the island is here. Your room is cleaned daily and they also provide an ample supply of filtered UV treated drinking water. I highly recommend this slice of paradise!!

The resort is a beautiful property located on the west side of Aitutaki. Despite the different room types, the standard bungalow is beautiful and comfortable, especially starting from room 113 and decreasing numbers. Conversely, although very beautiful inside, the 3 villas in my opinion have a worse location, they are uncomfortable because they have many steps, and they do not have sunbeds on the beach. The restaurant is beautiful especially at sunset and especially at the outer tables. The Black rock café is also very nice and accessible to outsiders too. A la carte breakfast, there is no buffet as well as WiFi is not included for standard rooms. The self-guided tour inside the resort on various plant species is very interesting, the most interesting in my opinion is the false bird of paradise. Delightful staff at the reception, in the restaurant and in the rooms. Finally, they provide nice bikes with gears for free. For renting a scooter, my advice is to go to the distant Aquila PPCO rental shop and pick it up directly there (the price doubles if you pick it up at the hotel!!).
In my opinion, small shortcomings for a 5 stars are:
-no one comes to prepare the room for the night
- the beach bag is missing as well as a pen and a piece of paper for notes
-it would be appreciated to be welcomed at the airport with hand towels and fresh water
-a smart TV
On the other hand, much appreciated:
-canoes, paddles, masks and fins available free of charge
-Lavazza coffee machine in the room with original pods
-welcome coconut in the room
If it wasn't a really long trip, I would definitely go back....and for this reason I absolutely recommend it.

From our arrival and welcome at Aitutaki airport to arrival at Pacific Island Resort we could not fault the service, the resort, the accommodation and the beauty of the location.

Even though I arrived unwell from Australia, we were attended to and cared for in such a genuine way.

It was also our 45th wedding anniversary during our stay, and the resort staff went out of their way to congratulate us and spoil us on our special night.

The accommodation was sublimely peaceful. The staff who looked after our room daily were exemplary, and the lovely touches of fresh flowers every day was so appreciated, as was the complimentary wifi.

The gardens of the resort are gorgeous and are so lovely to wander. From flowering orchids to huge mango trees and hibiscus bushes, the paths meander throughout the property.

The Rapae Bay Restaurant was lovely and the staff so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were particularly lovely. Im looking forward to a return visit so I can enjoy all there is on offer in the menu.
The Black Rock Cafe also had the most amazing cocktails and happy hour was indeed happy - also providing non alcoholic cocktail alternatives which were delicious.

Being in a Premium Beachfront Bungalow meant we had immediate access to the lagoon. I managed a couple of snorkels in front of the resort which were so beautiful.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and we felt very much at home.

We hope to revisit in the not too distant future to take the offered complimentary kayaks and stand up boards, bicycles etc that we were not able to take advantage of this time!

If you are after a quiet and peaceful retreat, time to regenerate, relax and unwind with five star service, this is the place to go.

We had 6 nights in the Ultimate beachfront bungalows which run from Number 100 to 900. These are larger rooms and are lovely and secluded.
The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
We asked for extra water and milk and it was provided immediately. House keeping was excellent.
Views are beautiful, especially the sunsets, sitting on your balcony just enjoying the moments.
To snorkel you really need to walk down to rooms 108-109 and go directly out as these are the best spots or further up towards 104-105.
Unfortunately the lagoon is very shallow so it can be tricky to snorkel when tide is out. Not much coral at all but lots of lovely fish to view. You just need to get over the hundreds of sea slugs (sand cleaners) you walk on, you really need reef shoes, no need here for flippers.
To appreciate the real beauty of the Aitutaki island, one needs to undertake a snorkeling tour with one of the plentiful island providers. We used Teking and were very happy as we only had 11 on board. (review provided seperately) Suggest smaller operators over the huge boat/s.
Once you go out, is where you see that beautiful blue, clear waters, Amazing. Swim amongst Giant Trevally look at Giant Clams. Again coral has suffered, but enjoy the fish.
Staff are attentive and very friendly. Amenities are great. Loved the afternoon happy hour down by the poolside bar and the popcorn of course.
The spa is to die for. Devi is amazing. Just do it and go, several times if you can.
The grounds are lush, and its welcomed on hot days when you walk under some lovely shade. They have done an amazing job on the vegetation.
We had several minor issues with the resturant, but once bought to management's attention things were rectified, which we appreciated.
One thing with the room was the outdoor shower, which while was nice, its just ok. This is one area that is sadly lacking and the shower area needs a refurb as a matter of priority. The wooden stands to place your "soap, shampoo" were so old or weathered you could not use. After one use, we just used the inside shower.
While we did have a couple of issues, we do recommend this resort, even though you can take children, no one did as this island really wouldn't have enough to keep children active, unlike Raratonga.
Finally the staff are so attentive, ask them to do your bookings for you, they were terrific.

Superb resort in an idyllic headland location with possibly the best island snorkeling right in front of the hotel.
Sensational gardens, beautiful entry which then takes you through to an elevated pool, ocean and reef view. Do your research and look at photos of the resort, it is impressive.
It has been built over and around an ancient volcanic landscape with a relaxed yet sensational main area including the restaurant which then flows through to the villas which are all located on the beach. Extensive, well maintained gardens surround the resort.
Every amenity is included in the spacious rooms, nicely furnished and very comfortable beds. Plus you look over the ocean and can walk out your front door onto the beach.
The staff, like all the locals, are helpful, courteous and helpful. Attention to every resort detail is well catered for. Half board was included, lunches can be purchased from the pool bar or go for a short walk up the street to the occasional shop. " Town" ( a handful of shops ) is a 10 minute walk away.
Bikes, kayaks, SUPs and snorkeling gear are all complimentary.
I can only recommend this resort and would definitely stay there next visit, my guess is it is the best on the island.

From the moment we arrived on Aitutaki to the moment we left, our experience with Pacific Resort was sublime. We were greeted at the airport by the Pacific Resort staff with lovely fresh flowers and big smiles and transferred straight to the resort. My husband and I stayed in the Ultimate Beach Villa and it didn't disappoint - we had beautiful views out over the ocean, the room was extremely clean with fresh flowers daily, and so beautifully furnished and decorated. The food at Pacific Resort was the best on the island, we tried a few other places but they weren't close to Pacific Resort quality, and the prices are very reasonable too. I can't speak highly enough of the staff, the bar staff remembered our names and room number when we popped over for a drink (which was often!) and were all so friendly and welcoming. I can put my hand on my heart and say this is the nicest/best/friendliest resort I've ever stayed at, and well worth the money. My husband and I will be back for sure. Thank you to the Pacific Resort team for making our honeymoon so memorable!

Five Star location, Five Star Resort, beautiful surrounding and atmosphere. Everything about Pacific Resort Aitutaki was exceptional, our room was Stylish, Clean and the Bed was so comfortable, we woke up each morning relaxed and the views from our room was breath taking. The General Manager of the Resort was so helpful and made sure our dietary needs were met during our stay as we were vegetarians and our daughter was vegan.
The Resort Concierge and all the staff at the resort were absolutely fabulous, polite and caring.

If you were worried about being vegan and having celiac disease - put your mind at ease the Chefs met our daughters dietary requests every meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner !

We were very pleased with our stay and hope to be back for a longer stay in the future.

This is truly a 5 Star Resort. The staff are AMAZING! James Lockery/Concierge is very good at his job - he was a delight to work with and so friendly and accommodating. The grounds were immaculate and so beautiful. The room and the attention to detail was wonderful - down to the fresh flowers on the bathroom vanity and even on the mat outside the shower! The coconut beverage and dish of flower petals on the coffee table on arrival were very welcome as were the hat, sarong and sandals that were left on our arrival. There was nothing left to chance. What a AMAZING property this is.

Wow, just WOW! From our speedy pick up at the airport where we received beautiful flower leis, to check-in, meals & even housekeeping, this resort pays attention to details. The resort & it’s views are amazing. Every meal was delectable and every employee super friendly. Housekeeping brought us new flowers in our room daily and kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear and bikes are all available complementary. An amazing breakfast is included daily & every room has its own coffee/tea bar & mini-fridge. We are so sad to be leaving tomorrow. Pacific resort Aitutaki has been a dream come true.

Apologies for the delay due to borders being closed in the reply to your question. Currently when the resort reopens we will allow children of all ages. We will reassess this once Northern Hemisphere travel again becomes viable and potentially return to 12+ We look forward to welcoming your family back when governments in both countries reopen our borders.
