George the owner is super helpful and full of adventure and travel tips. Cabins are warm and welcoming with just the right amount of ‘rustic’. A porch to drink morning coffee in the sunshine and a lookout for viewing sunsets. Very quiet and peaceful. Nice having the option to cook own meals in kitchen. Comfy beds.

The cabins have not been cleaned for years! It starts when you walk in and see the grime on everything from the floor to tables, chairs, dishes, cutlery, toilet, shower, couches with everyone else's pet hair, EVERYTHING! Look up you'll see decades of cobwebs. Look inside the kitchen cupboard below the sink… dried slime from the slugs that travel through...

We stayed just for one night and yes the cabin is very rustic and basic but the owner compensates for that with very welcoming and helpful attitude. It must not have been easy for her as her husband passed away in an accident just two months ago and she goes out of her way yo make you feel comfortable.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Madrona Lodge. It was off season so half the time we had the place to ourselves. Our 2 bedroom cottage had everything you need for a home away from home. The owners were very nice and shared much useful information about island hopping and hiking access points. The island has grocery...

Had a great time staying at Madrona Lodge. It reminded me of staying at my Grandparents cabin when I was a kid. The owner was really knowledgable about good spots to visit on the island. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here over the long weekend and had a great time. The one bedroom cabin was the perfect size for us and we enjoyed the grounds as well - especially the ping pong table! The bed was very creaky but otherwise we slept well and enjoyed the other amenities and nearby attractions - namely hiking. Our host was knowledgable,...

Extremely disappointed! Place was disgustingly dirty. The bathroom, bedroom, kitchen everything wasn't clean. Couldn't put any food in fridge cause of the horrible smell coming from it. Was so upset when we pulled in cut our stay short, was told they would reimburse out card for the night not stayed BUT when called to confirm amount said sorry charging you...

We were so unimpressed by the Madrona Lodge. We payed $450 ($200 a night plus $50 extra for a 3rd adult) for a 2 night stay. We were extremely disappointed. The unit was filthy - cobwebs, sticky and dirty plywood floors, dirty dishes, and stained sheets. We payed $50 extra for a third person, were told there were two bedrooms...

We frequently travel and stay in lodgings yet have never stayed somewhere so disgusting and unapologetically so. The 2 bedroom unit was not cleaned prior to our visit. Toilets filthy, showers & sinks soap encrusted, stove & fridge unclean, small kitchen appliances, cutlery & linens dirty. Floors unwashed, dust covered furniture & dead insect window coverings. The owner/manager while trying...
