It is a nice little renovated hotel. I enjoyed the short tour of the first floor after my partner and I arrived. The first thing I noticed were that the bedrooms were a bit small and so were the bathrooms. My partner and I are used to bathing together so this was a bit of a buzzkill. Luckily there are restrooms on both floors that are larger but they reside outside of the hotel rooms. One bit of a peeve was waiting almost 5 to 10 mins for the water to get hot enough to shower, especially while freezing after swimming. Also, I was forced to wear socks the whole 3 days I was at Casa Wilson because the tile floor still had sand on it from the previous occupants. The bed itself was okay. My partner said he woke up a few times with a backache, though, soooo. A lot of reviews that gave this place appeal said the owners met the guests and such. That however was not my experience. I never laid eyes on the owners and the only reason I knew they were on site was when their large, fancy Audi was parked in the one car gated driveway. In fact, aside from check in, I didn’t lay eyes on any other employees other than the nice Dominican lady who made and served us a beautiful breakfast in the morning. i didn’t even see someone when I left, just a sign on a table that said, “leave room key here.” Wow. Room service was great about restocking our towels and fixing our bed, so shout out to them, too, though our floor remained sandy. My biggest complaint is the absolute non existent parking. There’s a whole empty lot for sale across Casa Wilson, maybe the owners can consider purchasing it for their guests so they don’t have to park around the block and walk in the dark, terrified, to the hotel at night. In fact, in the morning, my partner discovered his windshield wipers were missing because we had to park a block or two from the hotel which isn’t in the safest area. Pretty ghetto to me. Why does the fancy Audi get a gated fenced in parking place but the guests are at the mercy of the hoodlums in the area? Also, I recommend Casa Wilson fix their entry gate’s locking mechanism. That, or activate it. It should help keep the riffraff out. I may or may not return to Condado in the future, but if I do, I’ll find a place with parking on site, maybe in a better lit area that feels safer to walk around at night. Oh, some additional perks besides the breakfast and house keeping are the Smart TV where I could stream before bed and the pool. When the jets are on at night and the pool is empty, it’s a very nice place to relax and enjoy yourself. It’s small enough to be awkward if there are other couples in the pool, though. Anyway, happy travels and may your experience be better than my own!! …
Three of four times in one's life one finds the perfect place to stay - a spot that takes the breath away, a building full of interest and superlative hospitality - Casa Wilson is just such a place. We found it hard to tear ourselves away from the many terraces overlooking the bay, playing ping pong, table football, chess or chatting to the host. If you like old-world charm, appreciate some quirky features, don't miss this spot for a couple of days R &R, perhaps before or after a flight as it's a simple two-hour drive to the airport. Casa Wilson will be in our hearts for many years to come.
A stay at Casa Wilson will be one of the most amazing experiences you ever have. You are perched right on the waters edge with a magnificent view of the ocean. You will undoubtedly be blessed with the ability to see a dolphin swimming around in the ocean below. The hosts and caretakers were extremely friendly and made this one of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever had. Breakfast in the dinning room was a great idea and we really enjoyed the ability to connect with other guest. Samuel makes the best scrambled eggs I have ever tasted. We were in a very cute room that really reflected the character of the house. Don’t let the age of the property scare you - The bed was extremely comfortable. Samuel and his wife Amelia are able to make some recommendations on things to do. We will definitely be back. …
Our stay was short but it was perfect from beginning to end. The house is full of character and the welcome we received from Samuel couldn't have been any warmer! A great find in Zapallar for those wanting something a little different... We will be back!!!! Gonzalo, Ryad and Mark
The owner is fab, a polo player who speaks exemplary English. Breakfast was nice and the dining room so cute. Room had a balcony for aperitifs, but was very dated, hence only 4/5 as everything about this place is charming. Lunch a must at the Restsurant next door. I’d certainly recommend a stay here in one of the grand houses of a past era.
