It was a fantastic experience. The house is decorated with objects from all over the world very tastefully. Books in English and Spanish makes for a great reading retreat. The view of the ocean is beautiful specially if you get lucky and get a sunset in the Pacific Ocean. Carlos the owner is a charming host and Rocio makes the best breakfasts. I will highly recommend this B&B. Feels like home.

I went straight to Casa el Pangue after a long overnight flight, and I was really happy with the choice. Staying here is like being a guest in someone’s home, and they really went out of the way to make me feel welcome. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and is full of books (and notably no TV, which is a plus in my book). They speak excellent English - rare in this country - and gave me a ton of recommendations. The room was beautiful and comfortable, as one would expect, and the view of the ocean and the sunset - spectacular. It is quiet and it smells like eucalyptus, and the beach, along with a beautiful long walk along the coast, is a short walk away.

After a long drive from Mendoza, we arrived at 4 pm - imagine our shock to find the place deserted, window blinds all pulled shut on the deluxe suite we'd reserved. We waited 2 hours and no one ever arrived to let us in. We were forced to find other accommodation after 6 pm for 2 nights in this busy tourist area. The only plus was that we didn't have to haul our luggage up the long hill from the parking area to the house! I'd advise anyone interested in this beautiful area to book at Isla Seca, a gorgeous hotel overlooking the sea. It costs a little more and has beautiful rooms, balcony, grounds, and lots of staff present!

This is the perfect address that you only tell your best friends about to get away for a break. Carlos made us feel totally at home in his very tastefully decorated and warm home. The view from the balcony and the two front bedrooms are breath taking, Zapallar beach is 1.5 Km away and there are wonderful creeks 5-10 minutes away. Great breakfast and a total refined "at home" feel. Highly recommended.
