Good place and friendly workers, perfect for family trips too. they have everything what you need and the food is great. Also they help you if you want to visit touristic places around, they get you tickets and transportation.
Finca La Manuela provides basic services including breakfast, swimming pool and Jacuzzi, game room, and a walk in the woods. But... The rooms and bathroom are very small, and so is the swimming pool. The "twin" bed was barely wide enough to sleep uncomfortably. The game room has a billiards and a pool table in poor condition, and some other games are available. Breakfast is good and the staff is very helpful, no complains there; but supper, if you need it, ends early in the evening so if you are coming late from an excursion, please eat before getting back to the Finca. There's a nice 20 minute walk through the bamboo forest (lots of steps!) and we saw hummingbirds and other birds. We had a good overall experience, but we want to let you know what to expect from this finca hotel.…
This was one of the best hotels during our trip to Colombia! You not only get great location, in the middle of coffee farm with so amazing people around (July, Cesar and Don Gustavo took really good care of us) but also swimming pool, jacuzzi and trips ( the best one was Parque del Cafe - a must on you travel list). We really recommend this place! Enjoy
We went to experience a lovely time in the coffee region with my family and all we got was a great service from all member of the staff but an owner who wants to run a farm as well as a hotel without being considerate or kind to guests 1. We got cold showers in a cold climate as it rained most of the days. 2. We also got woken up every day at 6:00 - 6:30 in the morning with the sound of the campesinos working the land removing old coffee plants and growing new ones. 3. They did the burn outs of the old coffee plants causing the most horrendous smoke in the bedrooms as well as the reception area where you also have your meals.... We were all coughing our lungs out..... the smoke was so bad that also gave us red eyes and the worse throat ache that lasted for almost a week afterwards ... It was so difficult to breath that we ended up leaving the hotel that day instead of staying there to have a relaxing day after few days of running around in the region exploring such a magnificent area. 4. They also had flies every where in the rooms so we had their noise on our ears all night long. The gap between the doors and the floor was so marked they opted to give us towels to block them from coming in... It was no other way to keep the flies away... So after spending few hours killing mosquitos and flies of all sorts when you finally fall asleep you got waken up with the sound of machetes and campesinos working the land ;( At the end of the day we came back to pack our luggage and instead of spending 6 days we had planned we ended up staying only 3. 5. The closets had a mouldy smell so our clothes got that smell during the travel till we wash them again even though they were clean but smelly... Despite discussing our points the owner didn't care about us leaving earlier and didn't want to give us the money we had pay in advance for the total period of time. SO IF YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF THAT IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!! Extremely disappointed after reading previous reviews. The reality is that I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Worse time ever during the whole 2 months Colombian experience. If it wasn't for the staff Finca Hotel La Manuela wouldn't have as much ratings as it shows. There are much better places nearby!!!!!…
Friendly and helpful staff, BEAUTIFUL setting, clean rooms with larger private baths, and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The whole place seemed to be very well run and maintained.
