Lovely breakfast, looking out over the surrounding countryside with some gentle Scottish music playing in the background. We would have liked to have stayed here longer. We didn't use the restaurant and the bar was only average.

We had room 1 with a comfy bed and a beautiful view. The staff were welcoming and we had a lovely overnight stay here. We had a beautiful evening meal in the restaurant and would be happy to stay here again. The breakfast was first class. They had a well stocked bar.

What a good choice we made for our fourth nights stay. We chose to have a room with a view at a supplement. The food at dinner was very flavoursome and with good variety. Seafood for himself containing langoustines, salmon, clam bisque, hake, most enjoyable. I had scallops with hake, succulent and fresh. The breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled... More

Stayed her on the NC 500. Staff were friendly enough when we arrived. Stayed in room which didn't have any views and located above the bar After a hard days drive not th ebest nights sleep!. Bed was very soft, pillows are very thin and worn. Bathroom was shabby and looked as it was - well used. There was shampoo,... More

Stayed here for one night while driving the NC 500 route. The room was spacious and well decorated with a good size bathroom. Stunning views from the lounge and dining area. There is good car parking to the rear of the hotel. Breakfast was one of the best we had and the evening meal was also good. There is a... More

The hotel/restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming! The hotel is a very easy stop off of the NC500 route. We had a very comfortable twin room with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. A delicious breakfast was included, and we ate dinner there as well, which was very good. They do have wifi, but it only works in... More

We stopped off at the Ben Loyal Hotel for a night when on the NC500. Our room, although a little dated in style was well maintained, clean, spacious, warm and comfortable with lovely views across the valley. The quality of dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations and we could not fault the friendliness of the staff. As with many older... More

Stayed 1 night when taking the Harley round Loch Eribol/Kyle of Tongue. Couldn't fault the very reasonably priced single room and excellent food, both in the evening, and the breakfast. Also some good beers if you're an ale drinker, and a very good selection of malts.TV in room, plus hairdryer (which baldy guys like me don't really need!). My only grouse, and it's a very... More

Good and bad with this hotel. Good was car parking off road at rear of hotel, stunning views from room, restaurant and beer garden, good average priced food, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Nice residents lounge overlooking views too. Friendly bar used by locals. Comfy bed. Bad points were room very small and bathroom small and tatty. For 110... More
